Our sincere thanks to Natasha for her warmth and hospitality. For sharing local tips and information so generously. As for H22 Hôtel’s facilities on Piazza Garibaldi, it is a minute or two past the Napoli Centrale Train Station.
It is as authentic as can be, full of local color (though a bit tricky to find at first), with the Piazza Garibaldi area’s grit and grime multiplying as the sun rises and the daily pedestrians contribute to the piazza pavement’s character (only to be cleaned again at dawn, or so it seems).
Past the entry and to the left of the courtyard, the hotel, on the second floor, accessed through the elevator within a 6-floor tall antique metal cage, is gleaming and spotless. And newly renovated. As seasoned travelers, we were very pleased. We felt among locals. Price is extremely competitive and has excellent reviews.
A nice change from hotel chains’ upscale but totally homogeneous flavor found all over the world.
