“Check in was easy. The main bed wasn’t very comfy but room was clean and pleasantly decorated. Room wasn’t too hot which was a big plus.”

“The giant bay windows facing out onto the 'prom' and the Irish Sea beyond was stunning. The moon came out for us at one point as well. Exquisite. However, the Hotel's bar and restaurant facilities were closed, which was disappointing. Luckily there were options just down the road at the Glengower. ”

“I have stayed at Park Lodge many times over the last 18 months. It is comfortable and clean, the staff are courteous and friendly, and the restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. The hotel also has a carpark, which is a vital facility for Aberystwyth. ”

“This is less a hotel, and more bed and breakfast. I was disappointment by not being able to drop a bag before check-in and the limited breakfast options. But the room was very comfortable, warm, and clean. The standby light from the TV was bright, but this is my only complaint with the actual room.”

“This fantastic B&B looks like a mansion, its interior is beautifully decorated and the rooms have a standard high above most B&Bs. Beds and bedsheet, bathrooms, breakfast – they are all characterized by great taste and the hostess is very sympathetic and service minded. During our travel around in England, Scotland and Wales for three weeks in September 2019 we stayed at 13 different B&Bs and hotels – Plas Y Dderwen was definitely the best B&B of them all.”

“Wonderful place to stay, excellent location, comfy bed and use of the kitchen was really helpful. The street is noisy at night so do bring earplugs but do not let this put you off staying at this fabulous property.”

“Key provided didn’t work in my allocated room so I was allowed to use a different room which turned out to be a flat. Bit of an inconvenience but I probably got a better room for the same price so can’t complain. ”
