“Well-positioned, relatively cheap, good breakfast. The room was small on the highest floor, thus quite warm (I had to sleep with my window open. I like stiffer mattresses.”

“Lovely large room! With a jacuzzi bath, just a shame the jets didn’t work. We were staying to scatter friends ashes so didn’t spend much time in the room. Bed was comfortable and large, room was clean and tidy. Plus we had a wonderful sea view! ”

“A lovely place to stay with views to die for. The rooms were large and comfy, thought he mattress seemed a bit old. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good quality for a good price. Walking distance to the train station and a few nice pubs too. ”

“Swift and easy check-in. The family room had two bedrooms which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could have done with a rubber bath mat but found out later we could have asked for one. Similarly de-caff tea and coffee I guess. We had our 4-year-old granddaughter with us but there were no issues with noise from the bar below. Limited menu but food was very good. Steaks were lovely. Nice pint too. Great breakfast. “From the moment we arrived we felt looked after by the warm and welcoming staff. The room was very modern but not characterless. Great breakfast for both veggie and non-veggie tastes as well. Make sure you try a few of the cocktails if you get the chance.”

“Stanza piccola, ma abbastanza confortevole e colorata. Mancavano però scrivania e bollitore, ma non c'era nemmeno spazio per metterli! Bagno molto piccolo, con lavandino minuscolo ed assenza sia di ripiani sia di portasciugamani. Tutto molto pulito. Wi-fi funzionante solo sotto, al bar dell'hotel! “Picture postcard hotel and restaurant set just above the perfect harbour of New Quay. Marston's pub so the food is standard but decent quality. The staff are cheerful, friendly and caring. The rooms are large and oddly shaped as you would expect for an old building. Warm and comfy bed with plenty of storage space and large bathroom and shower ”

“Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. “The giant bay windows facing out onto the 'prom' and the Irish Sea beyond was stunning. The moon came out for us at one point as well. Exquisite. However, the Hotel's bar and restaurant facilities were closed, which was disappointing. Luckily there were options just down the road at the Glengower. ”

“Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. We ate in the restaurant with the menu offering a good variety of food and we we very happy with the quality of the food. Finally a big thank you to Dela who was a supMagerb host. ”
