“A funky hotel with lovely touches from when it was first built. Often the showers are fine, but this time the bathtub was very narrow and there wasn't much pressure. I did love the view from the higher floor thought, so worth the trade off.”

“Location is perfect for UC Berkeley based activities. Room has everything I need. Nice hit water, comfy bed, blinds block out the light, safe. Saw the same staff over all days of my stay. Knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. ”

“Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are fairly nice. Perhaps a touch on the small side. Bed is comfy. And it is outfitted with USB fixtures for your devices. Cons: Other seating is not that comfortable. Chair and couch in the room were not pleasant to sit in. Plus the $15/day "destination fee" and $52/day for valet parking (there is no other choice unless you want to drive around downtown Oakland looking for street parking. Good luck.) “Lovely property. Rooms are large and comfortable. The closet/bathroom door combo is a nice aesthetic, but given the weight of the door, a handle on the interior would be nice to have. The other odd thing is the width of the tile around the bathtub/shower (which needs to be cleared to get into the shower). It's high and wide, creating an opportunity for a slippery accident.
