“If not for the weather being a bit too chilly for me all went well. I gave 1 star for the property manager because i texted her once and never got a response. I texted the owner and got a prompt reply. If its chilly expect to burn lots of wood as we did. The 2 space heaters work well with the wood stove to make it nice and cozy. We brought a fan with us and placed it to the left side of stove to circulate warm air coming off stove. That really worked well. Loved the shower, nice and hot and good...

“Little chilly this time of year but space heaters did the trick. Cozy, rustic little cabin in the woods. We were quite comfortable and the location worked well for us. Liked the windows in the LR and charm/history of the place.”

“The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay.”

“We had a great stay at Tammy’s cottage and would happily return. We prefer staying in the Southwest/Bass harbor area when visiting Acadia to escape the crowds while still having great food only 5 minutes away like Archie’s Lobster. Our dog also had a great time and the cottage had all the basic cooking & grilling essentials so we cooked for most meals. Thank you Tammy so much for having us and being a great host. ”

“We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Loon Song Cottage. The cottage has a screened front porch, which you don't see often in vacation rentals. (So many times I have wished that we could keep the front door open, but can't without a screen.) The cottage is nice and new, and very clean. “This was a great place to stay for our little family while visiting the Bar Harbor/ Acadia area. The cabin was comfy and more than enough room for a family of 3. Everything was stocked well, very clean and well thought through with renters in mind. Both Bar Harbor and Acadia were about 10 minutes away and easy to get in and out of. The hike from the cabin was a perfect way to go see the sunset. Would absolutely stay again if we are in the area! ”

“What a great place to relax. The property abuts the shore--maybe a 60-second stroll down a grassy, gentle slope where adirondacks and the dock await. Or just hang out on the patio to watch from there. Warm during the day, cooling off at night, lobster by the beach -- just the perfect summer getaway. “Yes, you read that right. A short private trail enters park property and leads to a connector of the Western Mountain trail. A short drive west of Southwest Harbor, you'll find this side of the park a bit less overwrought than the gridlock of Bar Harbor. Don't worry though, there are enough restaurants and cafes within a fifteen minute drive to cover all your meals. The cabin sits along with another (soon joined by a third) on a wooded private parcel. The general area is unappealing light...
