“This inn is basic and without pretense. It is clean and well maintained. There is a pub across the parking lot called The Mermaid which share employees with the inn. The people here are fanastic, always genuinely smiling and friendly.”

“Ottima struttura con ampie camera e bagno. Problemi con le prese a muro risolte il giorno seguente in modo rapido. Purtroppo problemi di riscaldamento che non sono riusciti a risolvere,la stanza era caldissima e quando ho acceso il condizionatore dopo un po' di tempo ha cominciato ad avere perdite per cui ho dovuto spegnerlo Sarebbe stato meglio non rendere disponibile la camera fino alla necessaria manutenzione.”

“Bell Inn is a beautiful old inn, tastefully renovated, with a great restaurant, attentive staff, and all the basic amenities you might need. I only gave 4 stars because of the low doorways and ceilings. This is part of the charm, but also makes it harder for us taller folk to navigate!”

“The room was clean and comfortable. The food was great. The staff friendly. It’s right in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, close to the cathedral. Abbey grounds, shopping and lots of restaurants.”

“Lovely New Years Eve stay , great room overlooking the green . Returned from a walk around the spectacular church at midnight to be greeted by 2 glasses of bubbly . ”

“Very friendly welcome from enthusiastic staff. Comfortable and well appointed room. Fully appointed bathroom in excellent condition with both walk in shower and bath. Breakfast hamper provided in room with fresh milk and OJ in fridge. ”

“We had a lovely stay. The hosts were welcoming and friendly - they clearly enjoy and take pride in their job. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with amenities (after a long day the hot chocolate was well needed!). Breakfast in the morning was excellent quality.”

“Very welcoming & friendly staff, clean room & comfortable bed, breakfast was excellent with a choice of menu. My only concern was our window would Not stay open & we were very hot during the night although a fan was in the room could not sleep with it on, In the morning very little hot water pressure, this could be the someone else had the hot water running at the same time, these were very small negatives but would definitely stay here again ”
