Welcome to HomeSweetHome

Charming bourgeois house from the beginning of the 20th century, with garden, at the gates of Brussels (20min. Grande Place) living room, boudoir, entrance hall, large kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms, a large bathroom & a shower room. The owner is an interior designer and will immerse you in her universe. You live in peace, but close to Brussels, with wide possibilities of access to Paris and Amsterdam, London by express train.

Children are welcome! We provide baby equipment free of charge (high chair, travel cot, changing area, books, etc.).

We offer 2 options

1. LINEN OPTION:
- single bed: 15€
- double bed: 20€
2. CLEANING OPTION
- 120€

Family holiday
Lovely owner, excellent communication and happy to help with anything. Very spacious and characterful property with everything you may need. Some areas of the house not great for small children but very quirky. All enjoyed our stay.

Visiting a congress in Brussels
Everything was fine. Train to Brussels is near enough for predestrians, a bus stops nearby. Traffic on street in front of the house is loud, so in the front sleeping room you can hear it. On the other hand, house and garden are an oasis. We enjoyed the place very much.

Taxe de menage imposée
Super sejour en Belgique dans une tres jolie location. Le probleme est arrivé quand nous sommes rentrés en France où l'hote nous demande un sur-plus de 120€ pour le menage. Nous avions bien sûr réalisé le menage en suivant les instructions. Je conseille aux futurs vacanciers de prendre l'option pour ne pas avoir d'ennui.

Schön Abschalten im grünen Süden von Brüssel
Wir haben uns alle (9 Personen inkl. Kinder und Hund) wohl gefühlt. Das Haus hat viel Potenzial, jedoch auch ein paar Macken, z. B. in den Bädern die Wasserhähne oder die knarzenden Holzböden. Für zwei Nächte vollkommen ausreichend.

Amazing house
We stayed at the house with six, that is one couple and us with two children and a dog. We love coocking so we had the best time coocking in the kitchen and playing boardgames until the late hours. The house is huge and very comfortable. I was walking the dog in the mornings at a nearby park, there were a lot of dogs there so that was a lot of fun. The location was perfect to visit Brussels two times. We went by car, but there is also a tram nearby. We had a lot of fun staying at the house

Special House with lots of space
A big house with funny special whimsicalities in a lovely town. Overall a great house, new kitchen, big bedrooms, however sevelral of the doors can't open/close correctly and some unfinished repairs. The town have a several great resturants, great food, fair prices. Would we come again ??? Yes :-)

Nous sommes venus passer un week-end de 3 jours entre amis dans la maison de Julie. Cette dernière a été réactive pour répondre à l’ensemble de mes questions, (qui arrivaient à tout moment)! Nous avons adoré l’espace de la maison, la proximité avec Bruxelles, facile en train, l’accès à la maison est hyper facile, tout est fait pour que le séjour soit agréable et facile ! Hidden jewel in Beersel
From the moment my sons and I were in contact with our kind host Julie until the moment we left to go back home, I can honestly say this was one of the best holiday locations ever. The pictures shared on the site perfectly captured the look and feel of the place. The house is beautifully designed, spacious, quiet, large bedrooms, with a beautiful garden. We really enjoyed a relaxing and inspiring long weekend there. Having a bakery, wonderful restaurants and an old castle within walking distance was a great bonus!

Deception
To make a long story short, we didn’t expect an old house to be without defects; given the upper price range we didn’t even expect a particularly good value for money. What we did expect was a house that corresponds to what we had seen on the pictures, because we chose it for its design and decoration. Even these expectations were disappointed because part of the kitchen is actually a scantly appealing temporary solution with cupboards and appliances that do not really fit, a worktop that doesn’t join the wall, etc. I know from own experience that renovations of an old house are long and costly, but hiding unfinished works by the use of image editing software is really impertinent.

Huis in hele slechte staat
Alhoewel gastvrouw Julie ons heel goed heeft ontvangen en geholpen moet ons van het hart dat we de prijs kwaliteit verhouding echt niet in orde vinden. De bedden slapen echt niet goed en het huis is in hele slechte staat. Een aantal voorbeelden: de meeste deuren sluiten niet (veel geluid, weinig privacy), een van de douches gaf geen warm water, de trap zat los wat zeer onveilig was en de koelkastdeur viel uit z’n voegen.

Idéal pour un séjour entre amis
La maison de Julie est conforme à la description, très spacieuse et agréable à vivre. Une grande cuisine et une très belle pièce de vie, ainsi que de nombreuses chambres avec lits doubles / lits simples la rendent idéale pour un week-end entre amis ou en famille. Parfait si vous disposez d'une voiture, avec laquelle vous serez à une quinzaine de minutes du centre ville de Bruxelles. Nous étions en transports et avons souvent emprunté des taxis (pour une vingtaine d'euros) car les bus ne passent qu'une fois par heure. Mais cela n'est pas dérangeant, surtout sur un week-end !

The house is charming and spacious. It has been tastefully and creatively restored and it comfortable to stay in. There is everything you might need for a stay with friends or family It was also great to be able to find a place accessible by train and within walking distance from a station! The owner was so kind and helpful and gave great advice about local restaurants!

Very nice stay - perfect for family with children - and dogs
We had a very nice stay. Julie is a very good host and whenever we had quetins, she helped. The Hous is good equiped and has a very large kitchen. The garde is also very big, so that the whole family including the dogs can play. The garden has a fence, so that all are "protected". Brussels can be reached in15 Mins. by car, or 25 Mins by tram. The area is silent and we could not imagine that one of the european Metropoles is so close. Next time again.

Géniale !
Nous avons séjourné un weekend chez Julie. La communication était au top, Julie a répondu a toutes nos questions rapidement par téléphone. La maison correspond sur tout point aux photos, très jolie. Elle est entourée d'une boulangerie/pâtisserie (dont les propriétaires sont très charmant et parfaitement bilingues), le Delhaize et autres shops se trouvent a moins de 5min en voiture. Nous avons passé un weekend magique a Beersel et donc je recommande !
