The hotel was beautiful, clean, quiet and worth the price. The staff and bar keep are helpful and nice. The area was pretty busy, there were several homeless and/or drug users in the metro stations near by. Ironically this area has a circus and wonderful museum with several families walking the area, so I guess it’s safe enough. I would not stay in this area as a single female traveler.
The hotel beds were soo cozy, the sauna was such a necessity after walking 5 miles in 30 degree weather. Every day they provided water in the room and the breakfast was well worth the money. The 4 surrounding cafes for breakfast/brunch are not great and must be run by the mob (based on their demeanor, clientele, cash only vibes).
Would stay here again if it was $100/night or less.
