Baite a Black Butte Ranch

“The property could not be much nicer—right on the banks of the Metolius, lush lawn, and fragrant pines. It sits just behind Hola Restaurant and a short walk from the little store. Contrary to the property listing, there is no Dish TV—there is a 43” (not 36”) internet connected TV but you should be prepared to stream from your own device. Obviously TV will not be your first concern if you stay here but there were some big sporting events on during my week and it was a struggle to watch them....

“I highly recommend this property. It balances the decor of the mountains with some nice amenities, such as AC. Very clean, very comfortable, and a really nice looking interior and exterior all around. The backyard is a plus with a nice barbecue and a fire pit with some beautiful plants. Told myself I almost didn’t review it because I want to keep this place all to myself!”

“A wonderful, well-appointed home; perfect for our multi-generation group. Ten minute bike ride to Glaze Meadow pool. Our small children were a bit upset by the animal trophy mounts. We enjoyed the glassed in room with lots of toys”

“We had a great stay and love the property BUT there are some details you need to address: We could not get the TV in living room to work at all; bedroom TVs did not play DVDs. Please leave instructions on stove operation. the 2 oven stove was impossible to program temp for. Screen saysselect temp and press enter, but no enter button. Other stove controls corroded. Many pans, and all spice bottles, terribly greasy. Broken hinge on cabinet below kitchen sink. Has clearly been this way a long time...

“Overall we enjoyed our stay. It would have been perfect except for a couple minor details. The house was freezing cold on our arrival on Friday night. The bathroom only had one bath towel for two adults for two nights. No soap at any of the wash basins. Ignoring this, it was a lovely place to get away. We were provided with Duraflane logs and had a cozy fire.”

“We loved our stay in the A frame. We appreciated the A/C and the outdoor spaces were terrific. The hot tub and deck hammock were a lovely addition. We enjoyed the grill and eating outside. Tom was very responsive to any needs. The location was also perfect. We enjoyed floating on Suttle Lake and tubing the Deschutes near Tumalo. Just to note, there is a spiral staircase to the 2nd floor in case there are any accessibility issues. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and hope we get the...
