“The property was excellent, everything you need for a comfortable stay, the double bed was very comfortable and warm. The only thing we found it was a bit far away to walk to the bar/restaurant, for our age group we are late 70 and early 80s.”

“We had a great stay using this as our base to explore part of the Lake District, easy access to lakes and many fells in one direction and to vast beaches a short drive away in the other direction. Loved the jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day walking. We found the stairs to be steeper than we are acustomed to and also smaller treads, but a good hand rail for support when going to bed with tired legs. Wifi struggled a bit on occasions with demand when trying to stream something on TV and...

“Lovely property in a perfect location, well suited for a large family getaway”

“Overall it was lovely but had minor quibbles so 4 star. not 5. Remote control for TV worked poorly. Outside table had broken leg and left unrepaired. Attention needed to back on front and back borders which had begun but not finished. Drinking mugs were unpleasantly heavy and large. Felt a bit end of season! We would however come again and recommend it to friends.”

“This is a well located cottage with a lovely view. The parking space was convenient.The house was clean ,wi fi worked and beds were comfy. The stairs to the top floor are very steep especially with luggage and the shower had low pressure. Overall a lovely stay. Overall a lovely ”

“Great family getaway! Everything you need is there in this beautiful farmhouse. Located near a major road that gets you anywhere easily, yet calm and quiet due to orientation of the flat and its thick walls. Very ideal as a starting point for wonderful day outings. Thank you”

“An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes.”
