“Very clean room! Super friendly staff.”

“The room was okay. The mattress was very hard and lumpy. The tub was impossible for a bath(much too narrow), but reasonable for a shower. The facial tissue dispenser was empty. Breakfast was nice, well served, but crowded.”

“We had to wait literally 10-15 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. We called the "800" number to ring the front desk while standing there and still no one. Finally, a young man emerged from somewhere down the hall. While we were checking in "later," it was only 8:30-9:00pm. Weird! Then, we got to our room and as soon as we turned on the lamp....the power to the entire room went out. Weird again! We moved rooms...no issues changing, but this room had a bad odor (like urine). “This is a lovely, unpretentious motel located in Murphy. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. It is about a 10-12 minute drive to the John C Campbell Folk School and easy driving to various trails and scenic spots.”

“The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was kind and patient (being tired after a long day on the road and a little absent minded I immediately locked my key in the room lol). The only glitch was that the hot tub was inoperative at first, but they sent someone down right away to fix it. We were looking forward to jumping in after our long day on the road, and so we had to wait quite a while for it to heat up enough to use, but at least we did get to use it and it was lovely. ...

“We had a wonderful 12 day stay. The cabin was very clean, and the neighborhood was beautiful; very wooded area. Cabin has all the amenities, even snacks and cold drinks in the fridge as a welcome touch. Plenty of brochures on area attractions are laid out. Very peaceful sitting on the swing in the screened in porch, listening to the brook down the hill. One thing to note, there are about 8 domestic geese in the area that you will hear from sunrise to sunset if you are on the porch. You...
