Hotel a Browns Chapel

“When I arrived no one was at the check-in desk. I waited. A worker mopping the floor went in and got someone. I wanted to check in early, 1: 30 p.m., but was told I could not since check-in was not till 3:00 p.m. I have not had this issue before at other hotels. I was not happy because I was going on 3 hours of sleep and really wanted to just get into my room. I realize check-in was 3:00 p.m., but you can't tell me there wasn't one clean room available. Breakfast was good.”

“Everything was phenomenal. From check-in to check-out, we had a great experience. I highly recommend it.”

“Beds were adequate. Didn’t find any bedbugs but there was dog urine on the rugs in the hall and in the elevator. No bath towels in the room. The chair at the desk was falling apart. Had to request a different one. Very sad state of affairs 😩”

“Oven was broken so hot breakfast items limited, making it difficult for us as we eat a high protein diet. No microwave for instant oatmeal. Breakfast area very cramped with little space to sit. Treadmill was broken. Fitness room difficult to access and you have to enter pool area to access it which makes it difficult to enter even though it’s supposed to be available 24/7. Our bathroom toilet was unflushed upon entry into room.”

“A very quiet town (except for multiple trains nearby) next to the Cheat River. Clean, spacious room across the street from good full bar.”

“Facility is falling apart. Mold in the room and bathroom. Garbage facility upon entering property was overflowing. Staff was great.”

“After my son and daughter n law and daughter drove 3 hours with 2 kids for a doctor appointment for the worker to refuse to give my daughter the keys or to even look up at us”

“Check in was super easy, rooms were clean. Lobby and hallways also clean. No sketchy people wandering around, no smoke smells.”

“The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, the room smelled like wet dog and everything in the room was covered with dust. Also, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so you can't see in the mirror after showering.”

“Nicely done to an early 1900’s style yet adding new bathroom and air conditioning.”

“This was a decent hotel. Clean and close to where we wanted to be be. The elevator was not working on our second day but by the time we returned from our day it was up and running again. Staff was friendly, room was sizeable and beds were comfortable. I wish breakfast was included but overall not a bad stay.”
