“Lovely pub, very spacious with nice lounge and outside area. Food really nice and rooms were perfect. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Oh and nice beer and good value for money.”

“The room was clean and the shower worked well (although personal preference I wasn't a fan of the shower curtain!). They provided a fan in the room which was needed with the heat. All the staff were lovely and they even carried our big suitcase up the stairs for us! Enjoyed are stay and located in a wonderful location.”

“This was our 4th visit to the thatch cottage and ppossibly the last. 1. Arrived at 3pm as on booking form door lockked all in darkness no one around. 2. 5 pm a lady turned up unlocked and let us in and booked in and showed us to the room, told us breakfast times but no evening meals on monday or tuesday. Room was ok 3. Went for breakfast next morning in darkness,only one cereal bowl no plates for toast no tea or coffee or milk ,no one around to ask,found plates and bowl in kitchen,butter had...

“The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm.”

“Parking was close. Rooms were generous, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect in the centre of town. Only downside was the noise especially the rroms at the front, but you have to accept its a pub and the it quietened down soon after 11”

“10/10. Wonderful staff that really went above and beyond to accommodate us quote last minute. Quality food, reasonably priced beverages, and great conversation from the staff. The room was comfortable, and given the price I couldn’t have dreamt of any more. Very appreciative of Jaimie’s efforts to accommodate us.”

“Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prima voor een overnachting. Tijdens ons verblijf zijn de matrassen vernieuwd. Dat wat wel nodig. De keuken was niet open zodat we naar een ander restaurant moesten uitwijken. Het groene licht was s’nachts irritant. Ontbijt was eenvoudig en goed.”
