“Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

“Wonderful 3 night stay in a deluxe room, food in BLOK was divine and we loved our time using the indoor pool, such a beautiful hotel, staff are a real credit to this place, especially Helen at breakfast time who helped us plan our days out.”

“Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...

“casa tipica recentemente ristrutturata camere moderne no ascensore (max 2 piani) peccato mancanza prese elettriche nel bagno e moquette sulle scale (no nella camera). personale molto gentile e colazione buona. vicino alle fermate autobus ma si può raggiungere facilmente il centro a piedi (10 min).”
