“We stayed at this home Christmas week. It proved the perfect base for family aged 87 to 16. There was room enough for everyone to spread out. Commuications were excellent and host was very responsive. Our goal was to be able to have both traditional holiday dinners and gatherings and the adventure of exploring monuments and museums.The set up would also be convenient for families with younger children. If you want plush spa towels and fine linens - like you might expect at a hotel - bring them....

“House was clean, well lit, and had spacious rooms including a very large and well-equipped kitchen. The private parking spot accessible from the alley behind the house is very convenient but a bit tricky to pull into. The one issue in the kitchen was that there was no coffee pot, so had to be creative to make coffee. Location was close to groceries and restaurants and very convenient for getting anywhere in DC. “Everything was wonderful with two small exceptions. There were no oven mitts or salt, pepper, spices etc. to help facilitate our personal cooking. With large family we don’t have the option to go out to eat regularly. There is an Aldi’s less than a mile away, which is great. Also there was not much for rags and kitchen towels etc, for cleaning. ”

“Wonderful stay for a mixed family of 7 for Spring Break in DC!! The house was spacious, slept our group comfortably, and had every amenity we needed. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and there were multiple extra sets of linens for bathing. The house, built in 1906, has been beautifully updated. Each bathroom fully met our needs.
