Lowcountry Cottage - Comfort & Easy

From the very first communication to the final review The Lowcountry Cottage was the best and easiest property sharing stay I have ever had to date. The information provided before the stay allowed my family to understand what was available and what we needed to bring. The property itself was very well represented and very comfortable for the duration of our stay. While the location is directly in the back yard of the owner's house there was zero unwanted interaction. The cottage was also very comfortable and seemed to be a subtle home away from home. Also, the location of the property is very conducive to Charleston, James Island and Folly Beach without the hustle and bustle of a beach or downtown property. This property is truly a five out of five stars and exceeds the price paid for the space.

Peace and Quiet in the Low Country

We had a nice first visit to Charleston in early April. The description of the property, check-in process and communication were very good. The comforts of home were all supplied.The bathroom sink and bathtub both had slow drains and were reported to the property owner.Judy K.

Simply the Best!

We were in town for spring break.This place was located close to everything we did.(downtown, beaches, attractions, shopping) The owner, Patrick, was amazing! Excellent communication, the property was very clean,we didn't cook but the kitchen had everything that you needed if you chose to cook. It was well stocked with all the necessities! There were recommendations for places to eat, things to do, and a binder with everything you needed to know about the cottage and the area. I will definitely stay at this property the next time that I travel to Charleston! If i could give 10 stars I would do that!!!

Weekend Getaway

This was a nice place with the owner making good use of all space, very cozy also. Took the wife for a weekend get away. Was close to everything we wanted to do including the beach and downtown areas. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect place for a Charleston getaway

What a wonderful surprise to find this treasure in James Island. It’s an excellent location for us close to Family. The attention to detail made our stay flawless. The owners are excellent at communicating. Everything we needed to know. Will definitely want to stay there again.

Charleston stay

We were in town visiting family. This was a perfect spot for us as James Island was conveniently located. The property was clean and appeared recently updated. We didn’t cook in at all due to our plans, so I can’t give an opinion of the kitchen other than to say the refrigerator was small. So it may not have been adequate for a family of 4 staying for a full week. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive.

Lovely Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Lowcountry Cottage. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and quiet and the location is convenient to both Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. We will certainly stay again when we return to Charleston.

Beautiful and very clean home. The location is great A short drive to downtown, Folly Beach, Isla of Palms and Sullivan Island. Many restaurants also. Hosts were great and very responsive. Would definitely stay at the property again.

Awesome Location with lots to Do

We had an amazing time staying at this home. It has a great location, close to Folly Beach and close to Charleston. Lots to do in the area. The host, Patrick was great and very attentive. He provides you with a digital check in log that has great recommendations for restaurants, golf and places to visit. All that we tried was good food, Swig & Swine BBQ was the best! We played golf at Patriots Point. Very challenging course, but lots of Fun!! We look forward to coming back and staying at this home again. Thank you!!

Perfect Stay

This property is exactly as pictured! It is beautiful and we felt safe and at home. Communication with Patrick was excellent, our small concern was met and in a very timely manner. Great Cottage

This cottage is very clean and well maintained its has everything that you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. We pack a few things that we did not need so just pack your clothing and other things. No need to bring any kitchen utensils they have it all. The host also have included lots of boards games and a Nintendo switch. This cottage is 10 minutes from Folly Beach and its an easy drive to get there and very close by to Walmart and other grocery chains. The USS Yorktown at Patriots Point is a short drive away and a must do self guided tour. If you are looking at this Vrbo rental you will not be disappointed it is very clean and comfortable and the host are great I higly recommend with 10 stars out of 10.

Wonderful Vacation

The property was convenient to everything. Lovely home with everything we needed. Clean. Safe. Even though it is behind the main house, it was private and we always felt like we were in a very private setting. Nothing much to check out. Host was easy to contact and quick to respond. Guidebook was awesome with instructions for home and local information.just a wonderful stay.

Mother/Daughter Getaway

Everything about this property was fabulous! The location, the cottage, and the host were all exactly what we were looking for. This location is best for someone who has rented a car, as you are 15-20 min from Charleston, Folly Beach, and almost anywhere else you want to go. The cottage amenities were great (coffee, appliances, etc), the beds were ok, the cottage was very safe and comfortable, the checkin-checkout book was detailed and easy, and Patrick was incredibly responsive to any of our needs. I recommend this VRBO to anyone, and I definitely recommend visiting Charleston! My mom and I had a fabulous place to stay and the best time visiting together!! Thank you Patrick and family for hosting us!

Wonderful cottage and very accommodating hosts

Perfect location for a week of exploring Charleston and the surrounding area. Cottage was great for our family. Very comfortable beds and very quiet location. Close to restaurants and grocery stores for eating out and preparing food at the cottage. Hosts were incredible and were very responsive to all of our needs. The digital welcome guide was super helpful as well! I cannot recommend this place enough!
