“We had a fabulous stay at Ashside Cottage. We were welcomed by Richard and Caroline who gave us a tour of the house and filled us in on places of interest in and around the area. The cottage was beautiful with parts dating from 16th century. It had everything we needed, including home baked bread. “We had a lovely stay here. The house has everything you need and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It's a short 10 minute walk to Ballyholme Beach which is a great way to start your day with a morning stroll! The communication with Emma leading up to our visit was really informative and helpful, and check-in was very easy and quick.”

“This cottage is a real gem of a find. We had a lovely relaxing week in November in this impeccably renovated and decorated 200 year old cottage which has original features blended with all the modern comforts you could need including underfloor heating and a cosy stove for evenings around the fire. The cottage itself is set in the rolling County Down hills with glimpses of the Mourne Mountains in the distance on winding walks around the quiet roads. “The property was very nice but the owner did not tell us he had an aggressive dog on the property before we arrived, knowing we were bringing our dog with us. He had his aggressive dog in a field opposite the property off lead and with no muzzle. When the owner's dog saw ours, which was on lead, he ran over at full speed, we were unable to get the dog back in the house. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast.
