Lake front cottage, 160' lake frontage on East Long Lake

Our cottage is located on beautiful East Long Lake, this is part of south cold water chain of lakes. All seven lakes are connected and accessible. Our very quiet and comfortable AC cottage has a full deck on the back of the house with locking gates, and this is overlooking the water. You can bring your boat and or wave runners as they can be docked at the cottage.
The cottage has three bedrooms (two queen beds and bunk bed) along with a pull out couch.
We do have reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink, so there’s no need to bring all those water bottles! For your enjoyment we have Firewood, also included is a paddle boat with lifevest. There is a second refrigerator in the garage with a washer dryer and a the corn hole game for your use.

Great place on the lake!
The Kohl’s Lake House was perfect for our family vacation. I would definitely stay again! My family (2 adults, one teen) and my sister’s family (2 adults, 2 kids) shared the house for 5 nights. The only things we were surprised by was 1. The common area was actually bigger than I expected 👍, 2. You have to pass through one of the back bedrooms to get to the other. Overall, it wasn’t a problem for my family, but something we were surprised by. I have a lot of family that lives in the area and they ALL came through at some point. I didn’t plan to host them all, but the house was great for it! We hung out inside in the kitchen/living room, out on the deck and in the yard. The hosts, Dave and Julie, were very communicative and very responsive. They sent me all the info I needed to know and answered all my follow up questions quickly. NOTE TO BOATERS: The boat traffic on the lake can throw up a pretty brutal wake. The first day we were there, my cousin that lives nearby brought his boat and we tied up to the dock. The first time a boat came by towing a wakeboarder, the waves beat the boat up on the dock. Thankfully, there were some extra nylon dock fenders in the garage and we added them to the “problem” dock pole. Not before sustaining a bit of damage to the boat though.

Great stay at the lake
We really enjoyed our weeklong stay. Loved the house, especially the seating and kitchen area. It was clean and ready to move into last Saturday. The deck and sandbox were a big hit as well as the play area in garage. So many items provided on site that we didn't have to bring! Comfortable spot on the lake and nice walks in the evening around neighborhood. Easy access to Coldwater restaurants and Memorial Park and its beach (with planes flying over to land nearby — big hit with a toddler) and the Heritage Park splash pad! Both had playgrounds and water. Very convenient and fun. Appreciated the outstanding communication and care from the owners. Would stay again if we don’t move to the region ourselves next summer!

Perfect Family Getaway
This was the perfect getaway for our summer vacation. The kids were so happy to be able to go tubing and play. Hosts were easy to get ahold of, and everything was just as described in listing. Tons of household items available, which was so nice to not have to worry about bringing every little thing.

Family vacation
House was clean, back deck was awesome and garage was an added bonus on rainy days. Kids loved the golf cart, sand pit and corn hole. Kitchen was fully stocked and beds were comfy. Swim area was a little too weedy for the kids but we took our boat to the sand bars. Hope to be back next year.

We very much enjoyed our visit and loved how everything was stocked for us, all we needed to get was food. Very nice place. The house was clean and well kept as well as the big back porch and the dock which was great fishing and swimming. I have already recommended to many friends.

Great house and location
This house was a great stay! Our family of 6 stayed a week. The yard was awesome for hanging out and great bonfire pit! Would love to visit again! We love the Coldwater area lots of activity on the lake.

A great family property, very private.
We enjoyed our sty in this lakefront cottage during our visit to Michigan for our son's college graduation from Hillsdale college. The bed were comfortable, the kitchen utensils, dishes and pots/pans were ample, there was a nice movie selection and many games in stock. The re are also lovely lake views from three sides of the house; each bedroom and the entire great room on two sides provides beautiful, relaxing views. Our family enjoyed use of the paddle boats, the convenient sandy section for the kids to play in and watching the boats and the water fowl on the water way. The very large deck runs the length of the house and is conveniently gated to keep the children and any pets safe. There is a large gazebo providing shade form the sun and pretty lighting in the evenings. The yard around the house is nicely landscaped and the house is private. It is in a nice area of family cottages that each face a different way along the shoreline, providing great privacy. Although there are families outside in their yards, you still feel the privacy of your deck and yard. There was ample parking and a nice grill and firepit. This is a good family destination, and the hosts are very responsive and pleasant/personable. Thank you, Dave and Julie, for a great visit!

Wish we could've stayed longer!
The cottage was pristine and well stocked with all necessities. We loved it! We were in town for a wedding and so, stayed very busy the whole time. The place was so welcoming upon returning tired each night. It was wonderful. Will definitely rebook when we can enjoy the lake and the view much more.

Great Lake Access and Sunset view
We had a friends reunion at this cottage and had a blast. We were able to tie up our boat right to the dock. It was easy to cruise in to Coldwater lake or take a cruise thru the channels to Marble lake. There is plenty of lake front yard where we played Cornhole and enjoyed a campfire. I like the big deck with the sun covering. I would definitely come back.

Long Lake
We were very pleased with the accommodations. Everything was clean and clear. The lakefront property was wonderful and we enjoyed our time there relaxing. The enclosed deck was great for our small dog. We hope to go back next year.

Annual family vacation
We were very satisfied with this property. Enjoyed just swimming off the dock and other local activities. Nice place. Weather was nice all week so we were able to eat together outside. Otherwise there is only four places to sit at kitchen island. No inside dining table. We managed but a little tight for the 8 of us.

Great weekend
This place is perfect for a family getaway. The home is extremely clean, the beds are comfortable, and there is great water pressure! The back porch runs the entire length of the home and has a railing completely around the porch with gates to go down to the yard and water. Our dogs could stay on the porch with us instead of having to be chained or leashed. We visited on a weekend and there was a lot of boat traffic. It was fun traveling through the channels to go to the different lakes. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and polite. The host communicated thoroughly and promptly answered any questions we had.

Perfect spot on the lake!
We had the best vacation! The house is extremely clean and has everything you need as far as amenities! We over packed! The lake view is absolutely stunning, a true hidden gem! We have a 14 month old and the large childproof deck was a nice surprise! The host was very responsive! I hope to spend many more family vacations here!

Long Lake stay
Great lake front property for our family trip (3 nights). This is a good spot for a small family with easy access to the lake. The place was clean, well-stocked with supplies, incl. firewood for the firepit, kitchen items (i.e. baggies, foil, cleaning supplies, salt/pepper, etc.), a golf cart and paddle boat (not used). We brought our own blow-ups to float around (none there). We will definitely rent again if we are in the area!

Wonderful experience
This was my family’s first time to Michigan and we will definitely be back. This house had everything we needed and even more. Fire pit, golf cart, private dock, and nice fenced in back deck for the dogs and little ones to enjoy! Property owner was great as well, was available to talk/text if you needed anything, and was prompt about getting back to us.
