“Clean, modern room and bathroom. Really nice new shower. Excellent central location, with the beach around the corner. It would have been great if the room had an electric kettle for tea but it just had a coffee maker with 2 coffee pods provided.”

“Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.”

“There was nowhere to hang clothes in the main room or in the bathroom. No hangers. The water spout in the sink - if not turned on very much, water leaked all over the counter. If turned on too much, water shot straight out over the sink and onto your clothes. Could not figure out the overhead shower and hand held shot straight out. The shower floor was too slippery. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Had to turn it off and keep the window wide open all night with the shade partly up to...

“We absolutely loved our stay. The resort was exquisite. We will most definitely be back. Only constructive feedback is that the hot tubs are really more like bathtubs in the premium tents, and there were some broken things in our room such as an outlet didn't work and our bug sapper was broken as well. Otherwise, it was wonderful”

“Remodelled rooms really nice. Pool is well maintained and a nice amenity for this location.Only complaint was that the fridge freezer needs defrosting. Could add a second barbecue to pool area for peak times.Also stairs to second floor for bad knee senior a bit of a challenge. Other than that we recommend the Sunshine Lodge.”

“Cute place to stay, where you have a very cozy bed in a private room with your own washroom and mini kitchenette. The living area is shared with other guests, as is the hot tub. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood, and is the bottom half of a house, with the owners upstairs. The view over the bay was lovely as well!”
