Blue Derby's NEW premium holiday spot.
Spacious 2 bedroom apartment in architecturally striking building at 69 Main Street.
Overlooking the river and trail head with every modern convenience and the Main Street Lounge Bar just upstairs.
Fabulous fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with heated floor tiles, full laundry and bike storage, 2 living areas plus own deck, quality appliances throughout, aircon, smart TV and Bose soundbar.
Perfect base for Blue Derby MTB trails or exploring Tassie.
Main Street Derby is the first new building in the village centre in over 100 years.
Built to the highest standards and architecturally striking it contains only two premium apartments on the ground level overlooking the Ringarooma river and MTB trails.
Upstairs at street level there is the lively ambience of the Main Street Lounge Bar with its eclectic artworks and fabulous deck.
With easy PIN access the apartment is all yours to enjoy.
Ride straight into your undercover wet area or take the stairs up to Main Street and the village centre.
On arrival at the rear car park take the left footpath directly to the rear under-croft of the building and use your temporary PIN to enter at the first rear door. Note that for your security this door will automatically lock itself within seconds so you will need your PIN each time you enter.
Inside you will find 3 keys - for the front deck door, the laundry and the upstairs gate for access onto Main Street itself. Please do not take these keys with you when out riding.
You will find some basic supplies such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper and cooking oil in the kitchen however, we suggest that you purchase your main groceries in Launceston or Scottsdale on your way to town.
There is also a small supermarket in Branxholm less than 10 minutes away and the PIt Stop just across the road has some basics such as milk.
Bike and Luggage Storage & Security
You can literally ride your bike off the trails and into the Apartments under-croft where you will find secure bike storage and e-bike power - taps and hoses are about for wash down.
The large laundry can also be used for extra secure storage.
The new and very cool Main Street Lounge Bar & Café (03. 6354 6284) is just upstairs - visit for a share plate, ‘apres trail’ cocktails or a beer and dinner in the funky lounge or out on the river deck. Take away is also available.
Given demand in peak seasons we suggest that you book ahead (even before arriving) when planning dinner out.
Because Main Street is a commercial building in the centre of the village you will be aware of some noises from time to time:
- there should be little or no sound from outside with doors and windows closed
- there will be sound outside on your deck from folk enjoying the trails and the deck upstairs
- there may be some occasional ceiling noise to be expected in an apartment building from heavy falls, jumps or drags upstairs.
Please be aware that there is limited cell phone coverage around Derby. If with Optus or Vodaphone you will have little to no service so best to get a Telstra sim card.
