“The property was lovely, a little dated, the staff were lovely,beds very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, evening meal first night was really nice, the 2nd night wasn't as good, was told it was a different chef Sunday. The spa was very nice, used the sauna and steam room, the Jacuzzi and the pool. In fact the spa was really Christmasy but the hotel was rather poor with the Christmas decorations, overall I would definitely stay again.”

“this is our 4th stay at Rothay and it remains one of our favourites in the lakes. in winter it’s great to cosy up after a long walk in the garden spa, and the rooms and ambience is really comfortable without any pretentious swagger for which some of the other hotels in the area would charge you £100 per night more. breakfast is good quality and staff are friendly and efficient ”

“The room was amazing, super comfortable and had all amenities. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating of additional requests (we wanted to keep our bags at the hotel after checkout for a few hours) and they arranged everything. The location was great, with buses running from in front of the hotel and a row of restaurants right down the road. The lake is within walking distance as well. Will definitely return :)”

“The bedroom had no lighting above the mirror to dry and style your hair . It Might of been just room 20 that suffered from poor lighting . My parents had room 21 and that had a balcony , and seemed to have better lighting ”
