“Lovely hotel, friendly staff, excellent service.”

“Ok on the whole, room quite dated but nice enough. Bed wasnt fantastic and the tv didn't work / have any signal. Quite alot of niose from the wedding, went on past 12am. Breakfast was really nice and a good portion of food (full english). Staff freindly, helpful and polite. Location was good, grounds really nice. Would stay again however not when there is a wedding on, would check in advance. ”

“My fiancé and I stayed here for one night after completing the Kinder Scout climb. It was easy to find and the service was fantastic as soon as we came in the door. The environment was warm, inviting and had a cosy feel to it - just what you need after a whole day of walking. We had some drinks with a ‘pie and a pint’ offer for £18 which was absolutely delicious. We also shared a starter and dessert which were equally as delicious. We slept really well, the bedroom was so nice and bed was soft...

“The room wasn't particularly clean, but it was fine. The w.c. it was spoiled and stained. Every time I took a shower the whole room flooded (you have to keep the curtain inside the tub to limit the leakage). Slight unpleasant smell when I entered the room. All in all, it's not the worst, but I was expecting something more from a 4 star Hotel which is also a wedding venue. I'm writing about the HOTEL, Maybe the restaurant and the spa are better as like they looks in the pictures.”

“Very good location, handy for nice restaurants, pubs and museums. Quiet/safe area. Beautiful entrance/staircase in the hotel plus the dining area we used for breakfast was equally impressive. The full English breakfast was nice although poached eggs were overcooked. We were not waiting long, but I think that we had been forgotten about as breakfast overall was tasty but not piping hot. As well as the cooked breakfast there were self service cereals, toast etc. No pastries, fruit or cooked...
