“The property was lovely, as was the proprietor. In fact it was really special. What was not special was our rooom. We paid a significant upcharge for a nice room with a terrace, but it was just roof of a porch, and not grand or luxe enough to justify the upcharge. The furniture was not original to the historic hotel.”

“This is a very neat hotel, but not comfortable to just hang out in the room. The bathroom was beautiful and super modern, which didn’t fit the era of the hotel, but I loved it. I would recommend putting up curtains in addition to the blinds because the hall light beamed in all night. There also is nowhere to get ice or water, so bring your own. ”

“The property was great for the price, clean and the staff helpful. Complimentary breakfast was useful but equipment was old and did not heat the food well. If they made sure the breakfast is hot then I would say great value for traveling and staying overnight. I will stay there again it was perfect for a warm, clean place to sleep.”

“The bathroom was not clean, the tub had stains in it. The furniture is very old and not well kept. Good thing we didn't need the air conditioning becouse it was extremely noisy. Not recommended at all”

“Took the 3 kids skiing for a couple days and stayed for one night. Really enjoyed our stay--incredibly convenient to Whitetail and warm/cozy inside. It was cold out but plenty of heat sources. Beds were very comfortable and everyone slept great. Would stay again!”

“Cozy location with great views. All processes went smoothly.Turing the car around at the end of the long driveway was a little tough but not terrible - might be harder with a large car or truck.”

“Genial”

“We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and rode the steam engine at EBT. We have other plans as well but skipped them to come back to the cottage and watch the birds, chill and enjoy no tv. Thy have everything you need in the kitchen pantry and bathroom which has a great shower head with lots of water pressure. There’s even tooth past. The towels were quality and the bed was nice too. They even had spices and oils for cooking. Loved that they had teas and coffee as well. Just show up and enjoy...

“Wonderful weekend at this beautiful cabin. ”

“Cozy spot right by the slopes for easy access. Ski on, or a very short drive to main parking area. Bunk beds were great for the family. HVAC a bit noisy overnight, but overcame it with some white noise.”

“We stayed at the James Buchanan Hotel during a trip to whitetail for skiing and the hotel was my favorite part of the experience. It was cozy, clean, and they even upgraded our room. It was so much fun to go to the pub in the hotel. The manager of the pub was so attentive and polite and everyone made sure we had a great stay. I can’t say enough nice good things about this place and I hope we will go back someday soon!”

“The term "hotel" is a little misleading as it is more like an inn where there is no hotel staff onsite. An innkeeper greeted us to check us in and give us a tour of the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also visited the onsite restaurant, which was lovely. The food was excellent! Unfortunately, there were no real options for breakfast in town and no shopping or entertainment. If you stay here, be prepared for a quiet night in.”

“I feel the pictures dont do it justice this place was adorable!! Very cozy and clean. The host was amazing we had car problems and they were very accommodating! When we arrived they had muffins waiting and really just welcoming! I totally recommend cheking this place out it is close to whitetail if you want to go skiing like we did but if you just want a night or two to disconnect it is very great!”

“Our group of 22 people had a wonderful time at the Fulton County Resort.
