“This was an amazing stay. Quiet and peaceful. View was somewhat obscured by the fog during the winter but you can still see the valley below and rice terraces when the fog lifts a little. Water pressure is good in the bathroom and there is hot water. To keep warm in the room, there is a small portable heater (a bit noisy so didn’t use it when sleeping) and when sleeping, just the electric blanket is enough to keep warm and have a comfortable night’s sleep. “My dream come true stay! The staff is so personable and welcoming and the property is so gorgeous and calming. It’s only a short grab ride from the restaurant area, but the food on the property is extremely fresh and ALARMINGLY delicious. They used all the veggies and herbs from their garden and anything outsourced is organic. They own the Tonkin Spa, which was the cherry on top to our stay in Sapa. I will definitely come back. It’s worth every penny ”

“This is truly a family-owned establishment that welcomes you into its heart. From the moment i entered the reception, I was invited to a seat around the fire with A-Bom's (i'm not sure how to spell his name, sorry!) parents and offered tangerines while the kids and nieces of the family gambol about. They welcomed me to dinner with them that night, and all in made me feel very at home. “Excellent location. View from the balcony and top floor amazing. Rooms need a bit of love (paint not redone, scuff on the walls, worn out trimmings. Spa advertised not available. Breakfast is one of the best we have had in Vietnam. Staff not very attentive and welcoming.”

“Staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. Room was big and clean. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure and hot water. Walking distance to Sun Plaza, where you can get the funicular train to the cable car station to Fansipan and back, can easily walk to Sapa centre/church and lake. The only thing you have to take note is that it is a stairs only hotel, no elevator - I already knew this when I booked and was fine with it.”

“For our first visit to Sapa, we are so happy we stayed at the Bamboo Hotel! It is conveniently located for both trekking and the amenities of Sapa. The rooms were clean, the food was great and the onsite spa was a delight. By far, the best part though was the staff. They were all so wonderful but in particular, Julie at the front desk went above and beyond for us every chance she had. She even went as far as hand delivering a birthday cake (with a song!).
