“Nice clean room, good shower and wifi and helpful staff. Realised when i got home that they had given me someone elses invoice for my pre paid room, but i had other confirmation on hotels.com so no real biggie. Was lucky with parking right outside the hotel, or it may have been a pain.”

“What an amazing place. A real medieval castle full of interesting historical features. Staff very friendly. Room large and comfortable (except the pillows which are a bit flat and lumpy). Food was excellent st dinner. ”

“Hotel is stunning and in a beautiful location. Check in queue took around 20 mins to get through but otherwise pleasant. Room was on floor1, room was nice but no fridge as stated ! This needs to be known for those who carry insulin pens and need to store them in the fridge or other medication that requires refrigeration.The bed was big and comfortable. No glasses in the bathroom so nothing to rinse with after brushing. Decor was dated and a lot of cobwebs around the ceiling. Otherwise all clean...

“Robert is a kind, fun and consummate host and we enjoyed a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. Loved the cake and tea when we arrived. We had excellent cooked breakfasts with homemade soda bread on china and silver, crystal and linen. Room had everything we could need for our stay. We even cheekily ordered a last minute celebration cake! Can’t recommend highly enough. Mark and I look forward to our next stay. ”
