“Overall good and safe, room is a bit run down with smelly cupboards, need to be updated. Should've asked for a room not facing the road as it's very noisy all day and night. The deposit return should be made easier (the piece of paper can be replaced by some other form of ID). ”

“This is amazing hotel located on the hills of Lake Toba, it takes around 4 hours from Silangit airport and 5 from Medan. If you like nature and relax away from buzzy cities this is your spot, also inside the property are plenty activities to do as you are isolated in the middle of the forest. With incredible landscapes similar to Scotland this hotel was recomended for some friends who visited few years back. Staff makes your stay unforgettable. Food options are limited to Indonesian, however...

“Horrible. Room Smells like thick mold. I asked to replace one towel as it was warn out in a fashion that cannot be offered to any customer. The guy told me "this is an extra towel and can be charged"...seriously. I took that as a joke. A not fun one tho. Karaoke from the rooftop was clear loud in the room. Called the reception twice at 22.25 and 23.10..i was assured both times that in 10 minutes max that music would have stop. Obviusly was not true. I checked out at 23.45 as it was impossible to...

“We loved our time at Tuk Tuk Timbal Bungalows. We stayed in one of their traditional rooms, which we really enjoyed. Great menu available for all meals. Staff was super accommodating with transportation to and from Samosir. The passenger ferry will pick-up/drop-off directly at the property, so contact TukTuk ahead of time to make arrangements!”

“Great property, nice pool, big room and very modern. Fast wifi. Only downside with our stay, noise from night club above, first night was bad, second night was better. Also breakfast a bit average. Overall 8/10.”
