This is a beautiful, new cabin with modern touches, clean lines, and spectacular mountain views through massive windows. The cabin takes its name from one of the peaks you'll see right out your window, Alturas 1 (Our 2 BR cabin is named for the next peak to the north.... Alturas 2). Alturas 1 is a 1 BR cabin with a convertible sofa in the front room to accommodate up to 3 guests.
There's more than enough elbow room on this (over) 10-acre property and the neighbors and noise are plenty far away. Use it as a base camp for your travel, biking, fishing, hunting, or skiing adventure or just get your chillax on. Come just to get away and use the Wi-Fi for watching movies or working remotely. MT Hwy 278 is part of the Pioneer Scenic Byway and "Big Hole Loop" with unrivaled access to hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, the RATPOD bike race, and world-class trout fishing on the Beaverhead and Big Hole Rivers (not to mention numerous small creeks and lakes to drive or hike to).
There are 3 cabins on the property situated in a similar orientation. Just north of this cabin is a 2 BR, 5 guest cabin. At the northern property boundary, is a sleek, spacious studio cabin called the Studio at Alturas. Look for our other listing or inquire via messages if a larger space is needed.
One pet is allowed in Alturas 1. There will be an extra pet fee paid upfront. A pet bed is required. Pets should also be kept off the furniture. If it is not possible to do so, you must provide a blanket for your pet to lie on.
You'll be situated a very short drive from Dillon, MT; a cute western town with roots in ag, railroading, and education. There are plenty of shops, fun restaurants, coffee shops, a brewery, and local happenings to satisfy travelers year round. Dillon is also home to to 1 of 5 Patagonia Outlets in the country as well as one of the biggest Labor Day celebrations around complete with rodeos, concerts, and a fair.
Cabin Has:
Queen bed, futon sofa (single), wi-fi, tv, full kitchen, washer and dryer, pots/pans/place settings, coffee maker, shower (no bathtub), basic pantry items including tea, coffee, sugar, cooking spray, salt, pepper, other spices, and more. There is also a deck that is partially covered over the door for weather and partially open for stargazing. Trust me, you'll want to see the stars. The deck also has a propane firepit and Adirondack chairs.

I am on site sometimes, working in the newest cabin or staying in the RV (behind the new cabin, opposite of Alturas 1 Cabin) when guiding fly fishing in the area. I often travel and am not around as well. I'm more than happy to chat in person or give space if need be.
