Seaview Loft is a great luxury holiday rental for exploring East Lothian and taking advantage of the beach, seafront, and all the independent businesses Dunbar has to offer. There’s plenty to do to suit everyone! Situated in the High Street conservation area of Dunbar (AKA ‘Sunny Dunny’), Seaview Loft is a unique, charming and beautifully decorated contemporary third-floor holiday apartment that can sleep up to four people.

With a coveted, central location in the seaside town of Dunbar, this is a great base for exploring Edinburgh and East Lothian.

Please note we do not provide hypoallergenic bedding at our properties.

Bookings made at this property require a £200 damage deposit, which will be due 7 days before check-in. Providing there are no deductions to be made from this, the payment will be refunded to your card 5-7 working days after departure.

Please also note complimentary mid stay cleans (including the provision of fresh linen and towels) will be provided as follows:
Bookings for 14-21 nights will receive one mid stay clean
Bookings for 21-28 nights will receive two mid stay cleans
Should you require any further mid stay cleans or linen and towels provided please note there will be an additional cost for this. Please contact our team to enquire further


Layout

Enter the main door and climb two flights of stairs.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll find a handy space for boots and jackets, along with a utility area where the washing machine, freezer and ironing facilities reside. Go through the door in front of you to enter the main L-shaped hallway.

The first room you’ll come to on the left of the hallway is the lounge and kitchen area. This is a bright, spacious and beautifully decorated room with a peaceful deep blue colour. This space has lots of quirky, original touches (the kitchen tap is a feature all of its own!) and fantastic, idyllic sea views.

In the lounge, relax on the comfortable leather sofa and single blue velvet seats – which perfectly match the decor – along with a coffee table, TV and DVD player, handy side-table unit and mirror. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay.

Taking the hallway round to the right, the next room you’ll come across is the bathroom, featuring stylish art deco flooring, a rainfall-style shower, and a bath with shower attachment. This room also has lovely sea views that you can admire when brushing your teeth in the morning!

Continuing down the hall, you’ll come to the double bedroom on the right. It features comfortable twin ‘zip-and-link’ beds which can become a king depending on your needs, making this a very flexible room. There’s also plenty of space for clothes storage.

Follow the hall to the end and you’ll come to the spacious master bedroom – again featuring a king-sized bed that can be transformed into twins if necessary. This is an elegant bright space, featuring an open-plan closet with plenty of room for hanging clothing. There’s also a handy desk for using a laptop or writing some postcards to loved ones!


Sleeping Arrangements

A double bedroom features comfortable twin ‘zip-and-link’ beds which can become a king-size bed depending on your group's needs.
The spacious master bedroom features a king-sized bed that can be transformed into twin beds if required.

Getting there

Directions are as follows: access the apartment via the Main Door number 51 High Street. In between the Chest, Heart and Stroke Charity Shop and Core Pilates Studio. Go towards the back of the vennel and up the stairs to the right. Note: the padlocked cupboard on the ground floor is for your use - the keys to this cupboard are in the flat on the notice board. Go up 2 flights of stairs - the key safe is outside the apartment door 51D. Enter the code and retrieve the key. Up one more flight to the utility area and then the inner apartment door. Enjoy!

apartment was mainly as advertised, though as others have pointed out there are some issues with the cleaning. Not of the rooms necessarily but the windows (sills/frames) are very dirty and there was bird poo all over the kitchen window which has the amazing view out to the ocean. Granted, there are seagulls and other birds flying around everywhere but the windows were caked in it...so much so we kept the blinds down in the kitchen so we didnt have to stare it it all the time. Yes, the front bedroom which overlooks the street is noisy and could do with double glazing but we had read the reviews and took earplugs. Its not a busy street but there are a few pubs and so expect a bit of weekend noise. The key lock box was not easy. We have stayed in many properties with those boxes but it took a couple of attempts to get the key out when we arrived but for the life of us we could not open it again to put the key back when we departed. We tried clearing the mechanism ona number of occasions, made sure we followed instructions, but in the end had to leave the keys unsecured inside the plastic cover so we didnt miss our train. overall, the apartment is good and has the basics in the kitchen. A bread knife would have been a great asset, esp considering the bakery across the road with its amazing bread. We would still stay again, but the cobwebs inside the skylights need ridding and the windows need a good cleaning.
