“This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. ”

“We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight. However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. “We really enjoyed our stay at The Little George! Geoff was super kind and helpful, showed us to our room. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean, lovely bathroom with a big shower (the included toiletries smelled amazing too!). Well stocked minibar, teas and coffees etc. WiFi was very good too, easy to connect and fast, which is needed in this area as mobile data signal can be a bit iffy. “Room was basic, shower water pressure very low, lighting in room not great, Breakfast - staff were doing a great job but were rushed off there feet, very busy and could not cope with demand on some food items like croissants, fruit, hash browns, sausages etc.. Also guest seemed to taking food and not eating it - wasting, and some did not care about leaving the place tidy - absolutely clueless people ”
