Decent lodging; close to stores, sea; poor communication with owner and property manager
Poor communication with the owner and his property manager: manager never answered my messages and owner cancelled my booking based on his bad faith allegations to VRBO (supposedly because I would have violated VRBO rules, which was untrue) leading to my booking getting cancelled with the obligation to leave the property the same day and only a 50% refund of the whole rental value had I not gotten in touch with VRBO customer service to demonstrate the owner's bad faith.
Positive aspects:
- Good location: close to supermarkets (8-10 min by car), gym (5-6 min); public beach (6-7 min); 30 min from Montego Bay
- Awesome and very comfy couch in the living room with a big TV; TVs in each bedroom; lots of kitchen utensils and equipment in the kitchen.
Negative aspects:
There were several non-functional items in the house:
1) living-room air conditioner was not working (only ventilating, not sending cold air). I reported it to the owner but, despite his property manager reviewing it in person, he never sent anyone to fix it.
2) WCs were both leaking.
3) Clothes dryer was not drying clothes. I could only use the cloth lines outside.
4) The iron entrance door to the driveway fell after a week from the rust on one of its hinges.
