“Sweet place to stay…right on the beach! Turtles were there…surrounded by tourists! The staff were friendly and kind. Obs not luxury but for a cheap time on the beach very good! Outstanding curry at The Bistro ”

“Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

“Breakfast, location and service were excellent. Downstair room was noisy, because peacocks and cleaning in the morning.”

“Nice guest house run by a very friendly family. Right by Unawatuna beach but not too noisy. Air con worked well, WiFi was decent (although sluggish at times) and there are loads of good restaurant options nearby.”

“we got the “penthouse” in the villa with views over the beach, however, there were too many flaws to this villa. We had booked two nights and we seriously considered leaving after just one. Up to the top floor we needed to go up a “fire-escape” stairway and we just thought “seriously(?)”. Inside the room we found a good variety of insects and at night we could hear rats running inside the wall or on the roof. We were lucky if we got water out of the shower and especially warm water (super small...

“We booked this property last minute and quite late at night due to a change of plans. The owner was very quick to get a room sorted for us, despite it being so late. The room was clean, comfortable, and the property was very peaceful. A lovely family-run guest house that provides a relaxing stay. ”

“Nice place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms. I thought for this price they may make the beds. I also asked for a special request that the said they could do, but they didnt end up doing it... It was flowers on the bed for my girlfriends birthday. Then we asked if we could have one more breakfast as we were still hungry as compensation for not having power for the day and then they said no, which wasnt a big deal. Just thought they may do that. The serving staff were very nice.”

“Had a wonderful stay at Twenty Two! The property is located in a quiet area of the beach but a short walk from anything you need. Views from the rooms are incredible, especially at sunset! Thank you for a great stay.”

“Nice place for the money, but the children were home and started talking early in the morning, you can hear them, so it is not big on privacy or late sleep (after 6am). Walkable to the turtle sanctuary. ”

“Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. There was loud music late into the early morning hours from neighboring hotels. And, perhaps the most offsetting aspect for me was...

“This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast options were the best we came across in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean but moderate in size with limited space for large luggage.”

“Wir waren froh über Steffens (Host)Hilfe, wenn es ums Organisieren von Ausflügen ging. Er vereinbarte für uns Termine für Massage und einen Bootsausflug mit einem super Guide. Hervorragende, realistische Einschätzung der Aktivitäten. Herzlichrn Dank. Dann schätzten wir auch die Flexibilität der Essenszeiten und das hübsche Outdoor-Resuarant mit herzlicher Unterhaltung, wenn gewünscht. Keine Mücken am Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Ariane”
