“We loved the close proximity to the beaches. The old worldy charm.of the building. The boys who managed and serviced the rooms were very sweet and helpfull. Sadly Hikkaduwa is monopolised by Russian visitors. ”

“Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

“Lovely hotel in a historic house with impeccable service. It has been recently refurbished and under new owners who have done a magnificent job. We stayed in the Dumas suite which has a balcony where you can watch birds and monkeys with a cup of morning tea. The serene gardens and swimming pool are a delight. Do not miss the Arrack Tasting menu dinner which was unforgettable. Staying here gives you a short walk to Galle Fort and a chance to stay in a beautiful house with gardens so the best of...
