“The Knighton Hotel is quiet and well-located. Unfortunately, they don't do meals, although they do have a coffee shop, which I didn’t try as I was out allday walking. The evening I arrived there was a leak through the inspection hatch in the ceiling of my room. When I reported it I was instantly moved to another and larger room (turned out the leak was coming from the shower in the room above). Good service there. “What a gem. Clean, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Communication was fantastic and found the property with no trouble. A home from home and will definitely return when in this beautiful area again.”

“Overall good stay Checkin is 3-6pm which I didn’t realise during booking. Had to phone and wait to get let in as it’s all locked up. Can arrange a late checkin prior which I’ll do in future. The front rooms are within hearing of the village clock but didn’t give much issue. Rooms were good, plently if hot water and nice cooked breakfast from the friendly host Tim. ”

“Our visit to Mellington Hall Country House Hotel was fantastic. The property is amazing, the staff were really attentive and amazing also. The food was superb and the service throughout was exceptional. After the meal we sat in the lovely building which has quiet rooms or an open fire. We went just before Christmas and so the property was probably quieter than during the summer months, but we definitely would return to enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside. “Hotel molto antico ma ben rimodernato. Ci è capitata una camera piccolissima, praticamente un sottotetto, però grazioso anche se un po' scomodo. Il bagno era funzionale. L'accoglienza un po' sui generis, niente di che (per stampare il boarding pass ci hanno mandato alla biblioteca locale). Posiziona buona per girare i dintorni.”

“Fabulouso!! Ruth was a lovely hostess, very warm and welcoming. This period property was very well maintained, cosy and decorated tastefully. Amazing bathroom, comfortable bed, Welsh cakes a very nice touch and a breakfast full of fine ingredients - down to the homemade marmalade which we bought a jar! We will most definitely return!”
