We loved House on the Hill. My boys enjoy staying on the “flats” every year for fishing, and we visit different beaches everyday. The home was close to Georgetown and generally convenient. There was plenty of room and having the fishing poles, kayaks, paddle board, etc was a plus. The fishing reels would not work (my guess is that prior guests let them get wet or salty) but fortunately my boys brought their own reels that we were able to swap out. The kitchen was nicely equipped, although I did miss my dishwasher. 🤣 The beach chairs were broken, and the owner made us aware before arriving, although we didn’t really need them. (They would be nice to have though). The owner was quick to respond to questions. We did have a wi-if issue with the router, but the owner sent someone to fix it. Wi-go is generally a problem on the island. I recommend going to Aliv (exuma cellular service) and buying a mi-fi and sims card (less than $140) because then you can have service wherever you go (beaches, etc) even when internet is out. Or bring one from home if it is compatible with other providers. The road to the home is a little rough, which is not unusual on the island. I definitely recommend renting a four wheel drive. Overall, it was a great stay and we would certainly stay again.
