“We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...

“The property was tastefully furnished which reflected its historical past. There was a spacious sitting room for use by guests and a kitchen equipped for the heating and simple cooking of meals. “This is a basically C19th Inn, although some of it might be older. The room was clean and bright, the en-suite shower the same. Tea/coffee and kettle &c provided in the room. Bed fairly comfortable. Two things that were not so good: there was no hot water from the hand basin tap - no water at all in fact - and this could not be rectified until after the weekend (I booked in Saturday afternoon). All Ok in the shower. I could not open either the bedroom window nor the bathroom one, both sash...
