Ranch a Gloucester

“So with all the good that we enjoyed there are a few suggestions. We were 3 people staying 3 nights. RESTAURANT 12,5 % service charge AUTOMATICALLY added to your Restaurant bill, which was not advertised. Extra cheese on a burger means half cheese .... apparently that's how it comes. The air-conditioning in the restaurant is too cold morning and night - cools your food in minutes, take a jacket. There was a heat wave, but 17C outside at 830am does not need cold room temperatures. Ask staff...

“Bed was lovely and comfortable. Room was very nice. Struggling to get in and out of the shower. Staff on the whole were lovely but felt there was an atmosphere of discontentment amongst staff. Food expensive with service charge added without giving us the opportunity to say no. Rats running around the skip outside. Needs a general paint job outside. Leaving on a positive the breakfast was lovely.”

“Good clean room, air conditioning was welcome in the summer heat. It was a little further from the main town than I was expecting. The downsides are the internet is ridiculously slow and to get faster internet there’s an additional charge as was the 15 pound charge to check in early, which I understand if you were asking for an 8am check in but, to charge that much when you’re an hour early seems a bit money gouging.”

“Great location in an historical building (the most charming structure I've been 15 days tour of UK). Unfortunately room condition was disappointing: one of the two matresses and the bath were broken, decoration dated and level of cleaning below average. It is a pity such a great place is not delivering in the rooms the potential that is there”
