“Such a shame this is a tale of two halves. Staff all lovely, helpful and go out of their way to help you. The problem is in the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises and rooms inside and out. A lot of money has been spent on the rooms but not cleaned properly and why have a posh coffee water heater for beverages in room which you cant fill up under the tap??? “Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time ”
