East Beach Hide-a-way on Lake Superior

Cozy beachside studio overlooking Lake Superior sits right on the beach. Simple and charming room with log beams, wood floors and big views. Queen size bed looks out at the sun and moon rises, vanity, private bath with shower and toilet. There's a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Located right downtown Grand Marais, you can walk to all the restaurants for meals. Enjoy a beach fire in the evenings, or stream a movie on the free wi-fi. Basic accommodations, but you'll love the quaint charm and unparalleled location.

Fantastic views of Lake Superior
Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee while watching the sunrise over East Bay and Artist’s Point. Loved listening and watching the waves. A nice quiet place in a warm cabin feel. Heater worked well!

Quaint and cozy.
The room was sufficient, simple, and cozy. Met all my basic needs. I saw northern lights out at night. I wish Red Pine Reality wouldn't have left lights on the entire night to pollute the sky. Every cough, step, and voice of the people above you will be heard, so I would suggest earplugs and noise canceling headphones so you sleep well. But otherwise, a nice cozy stay.

Great place!!!! Walking distance to so much!!
The room was bigger than I expected!!! The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great! Great Lake and sunrise view! Easy walk to so many things and places to eat! Definitely would stay here again! Thank you so much!

Perfect!
The location is perfect…you can walk to shops, restaurants, coffee, bakery and then being right on the beach was amazing! The room is very comfortable with amazing views of the lake! We loved it!

Spectacular Views of Superior
Our purpose for trip was hubby’s photography and the occurrence of a Super Blue Moon. We wanted more of the beach cabin vibe and this unit delivered! The expanse of Lake Superior at Grand Marais was right in our window and just a few short steps from the door. Private. Well thought out accommodations with easy access for us with some mobility limits (e.g., no stairs). The only challenge was the very low toilet, but we managed. I would definitely stay at this lovely location again❣️

Beautiful sorroundings
Overall a great place to stay. You couldn’t get closer to the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and the boat landing. We enjoyed the views from our room. We love this town. The room is small, but very clean and we enjoyed the coffee. Be aware that the lower unit can hear all movement, conversation and coughing in the room above.

Great place
This place was so convenient to everything in town. Like bed the sunrises from our room!! The only thing was, it would have been nice to have coffee as there was the coffee pot, creamer, sweeteners & filters. We did get some very good coffee to brew from an establishment in town though. We will stay here again!

Beautiful Location
The description is very accurate. It has the basic amenities, but everything is well kept up. The private beach sitting area is such a nice little bonus. Plenty of towels, hand soap, and toilet paper were provided for our two night stay. Easily stocked enough for 6 or so days. Yes, you can hear people walking upstairs but nothing too disruptive and had no issues with that when turning in for the night around 8:30/9ish. The view and location is so worth it! This will definitely be our new spot whenever we visit Grand Marais, which we do at least once a year!

Great location and views
This is a wonderful place for a couple or single in downtown Grand Marais. It’s block or two from all the shopping in GM. The view is spectacular, looking out over the bay to the east of town. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view!
Overall our visit was great! The location was PERFECT!! It's within walking distance of so many great places. Plus the view of the lake was beautiful!! We had a slight issue when we got there but the host fixed the situation in a very reasonable time and was very polite about it. The only complaint we have is that the bed is really uncomfortable, also there is an apartment above this space and the area above the bed squeaks loudly everytime the above tenants walk over it.
