Hotel a Hawkley

“A lovely little pub ideally situated for walkers, cyclists and horse riders but breakfast is not served until 9am although it is advertised in the room as 8 to 10am. As like us most people holidaying for this reason want to be up early and out. We had a room for three adults but the hospitality tray was set for two people and as the room was not cleaned or beds made during our stay we only had one t bag left for the second morning.”

“Un pub con camere in struttura separata dal pub (pochi metri). Le camere sono abbastanza ampie e con ottima dotazione: macchina per espresso, bollitore e minibar con birra, acqua e latte. Comodo parcheggio di fronte alle camere. Molto buono il cibo sia per la colazione che per i pasti principali, e ovviamente ottima la birra. Il punto di forza resta comunque il personale, sempre disponibile e impegnato a fare sentire il cliente a casa propria, complimenti a tutti!”

“This is a good value room in a pleasant location. The rooms are a little basic but offer good value. Staff are all very helpful especially as we arrived very late.”

“Breakfast was good. A reasonable choice of cereals, juices, cold buffet and cooked options. Carpets were tired and seen better decades. TV balanced on old piece of furniture. Bolt it to the wall. Make the room bigger by getting rid of the unnecessary cabinet. 3 chairs in the room. But only a 2 person room. Clutter. Wardrobe to short to hang up a full length dress without it touching the dusty bottom. Denise the receptionist helped us change room from our first night sleeping in a ground floor...

“Apparentemente carino, perché hall e spazi comuni ristrutturati in stile marittimo. Camera orribile, davvero troppo datata, bagno con vasca e tendina, dopo la prima doccia, acqua dappertutto. Arredamento scadente, pulizia anche. Lo sconsiglio! Non ci tornerei neanche per una notte. Qualità prezzo: COSTOSO!”

“Terrible experience!! We stayed 2 nights..... it was so damn hot in the room.... no A/C (as indicated) and.... NO FAN! We could hardly sleep... The window could be opened just a little.... so we had a very bad night. Rooms on the upper floor get really HOT in Summer.”

“We only stayed for one night but had a really lovely evening! The staff were very friendly, the pub/hotel have been recently refurbished and it's great. The rooms have everything you'd need, comfy bed, great shower, lovely lighting, loads of plugs! The bar and food was great. Overall really lovely and we'll stay again as we're often down to visit family.”
