“I wanted a low budget one night stay. Although property is old fashioned, my single room, with en suite was very clean and bed was comfortable The breakfast cerea,l yogurt etc was an unexpected bonus. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room. Member of staff on arrival friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get the tv to find any chanels, but not there long enough to enquire about it. Could do with a chair, but overall exactly what i wanted Thank you”

“I stayed 3 nights in this lovely public house (the Sun Inn, Acomb). It didn't have big town amenities, but it was fine for me as I wanted to visit and walk parts of Hadrians Wall. The couple running this enterprise had only taken it over about a month before I stayed, but I think they are doing it brilliantly. A nice atmosphere in the bar. Good choice of breakfast - which was delicious. A small menu for evening food - I tried one of the pasta dishes - again delicious. No car park, but...

“Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space.
