“We always have a great stay at Sunset Motel. Check in is always a breeze with self check in. Diane (manager) is super lovely, always keen for a chat and helps out if we ever need anything. All the staff are great, very respectful of privacy especially during turnover service. Location is brilliant, clear view to the water if you are keen on fishing and need to check what’s happening. Reserve right next door if you bring your pup for exercise. Just a great property to relax or get away.”

“Spectacular view! Nice to have kitchen stocked with everything including paper towel, salt, pepper, cooking oil, cling wrap, backing paper. Very relaxing on the balcony and nice stroll to the fishing club, cafe and beach club. Great place!”

“Lovely ensuite unit for a single night. The double bed was comfy enough, although the minimum should be a queen. Although the website, and the roadside signage, stated that the onsite fish and chip shop was open, it had closed for the season. As had all the food options in Hot Water Beach! The nearest was in Hahei, about 12mins drive. Reception staff were very friendly, and they had a small mini-mart for essentials.”

“Got a nail pinch on my foot that was coming out from a broken patch of carpet. Also, the grounds keeper decided it was a great idea to start working on our small front garden early am on Saturday, without telling anybody he was coming in. He was literally standing outside the room glass doors looking in. I had to close all curtains in a hurry. The checkout at 10am on a Sunday is excessive. I can understand early checkouts for massive tourist destinations like Venice or whatever, but not for a...
