ROYAL POINCIANA COTTAGE - Quaint Old Town location

Royal Poinciana is a studio cottage with a queen bed, kitchen ,and private bath. The queen bed sleeps 2 people and the kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, toaster. and coffee maker.

The quaint front porch is perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail and affords people watching at its best. A lovely back deck has a dining table and chairs and there is a shared heated pool and deck.

Located in the Heart of Old Town, most activities and destinations are within reasonable walking distance. There is no assigned parking. Free street parking only.

Quiet neighborhood close Duval and the beach.
Quaint cottage. Clean with a comfy bed. Well stocked with kitchenware and dishes.Fast wi-fi, nice garden and pool area. Could use a bedside lamp for reading and more shelving in the shower and bathroom.

Nice Location
The location is wonderful. Just a few streets from the main strip in Key West. Parking at the location was easy. We were able to find parking around the block every day. I would suggest walking to the strip because parking on the strip is 20-60 dollars a day. Cute and Quaint home. The pool and amenities were nice. Very small bathroom and very small bedroom. The bed is not the most comfortable. The air condition did not work well. There are fans in the two rooms so that did help.

Tropical Paradise
We had an amazing stay! Management was very helpful and responded to our questions quickly before arrival. The deck, front porch, and pool area were peaceful and beautiful. The location was in easy biking/walking distance to Duval St, Mallory Square, Fort Zach Beach, etc. The cottage is tiny, but comfy. A few small things kept it from a five star rating- smooshed bug left on the ceiling, broken blinds on the back door, humidifier woke us at 1am because it had to be emptied(had to figure that out), and AC can’t go lower than 73. All in all we had a great stay!

Adorable
The location was perfect. Just under a mile walk to Duval street. Less than 1/2 mile to Whitestreet pier to see the sunrise and sunset. Quite street, some traffic but nothing compared to had we stayed closer.

Perfect private cottage in a great location
Great private cottage with a nice front porch and back patio with table and barbecue all to yourself. Cozy inside with a comfy bed and a clean bathroom with a great shower. Full kitchen with a large sink, coffee maker (bring your own coffee), toaster, blender, 4 burner stovetop and oven, as well as good sized mini-fridge with a separate freezer. Location was great and only a 10min walk to all of the restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait to come back!

A first in Key West
Cottage not nearly as spacious as the pics on the website. Disturbed by the info on bugs and how it was up to us to keep them away. Pest control is the answer to that. There are nicer neighborhoods on the island. Next time it will be the Hilton.

Nicely landscaped small cottage
Great one bedroom cottage, small, but exactly what we were looking for. Away from the bustle of Duval Street but close enough to walk there. The pool was perfect! Also, just a half a block from El Siboney, one of our favorite Cuban restaurants.

Overall, great little place. Location is great, close enough to walk everywhere, yet far enough to be able to get good night sleep. Pool was a little dirty when we arrived. Would be great if lockbox or keyless entry was at the place instead of having to check in at alternate location. The online description, the paperwork we received at check in and the binder with helpful information in the cottage all stated concierge service to help with bike rentals etc. apparently that is not true. These are all minor things that would not prevent us from renting this cottage again. We had a great time

Anniversary Trip
We enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed the pool on the hot afternoons. The location was good for us, but we did rent bikes and that was a great decision. The only thing that could have been better was the cottage was warm in the bedroom. The air conditioner was in the kitchen so the air flow was not as good in the bedroom. But overall we had a great trip and enjoyed out cottage.

Hidden little oasis
We throughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Royal poinciana cottage. Our fight arrived 3 hours early the check in was smooth and they let us stash our bags until the room was ready - recommended several restaurants within walking distance. Allowed us to check in a little early! ☺️ We received a publix delivery so we appreciated that this cottage had cooking utensils . We enjoyed several meals cooked and enjoyed on patio. When you are tired of the food you brought El saboni (cuban) on the corner is part of the food tour, that should tell you how good it is! Very quiet and safe little place with a locking gate and a shared pool with the other two cottages. Perfect getaway! The property manger Kevin was extremely accommodating and responsive. Cuban queen coffee delivers! Its amazing cuban coffee you wont be disappointed . We rented bicycles online before our trip that were delivered to the cottage 100% recommend. We biked everywhere! If you are not biking use a taxi much cheaper than a ride share! Would definitely go back. Safe travels friends!

Quaint little cottage
The accommodations were nice. Clean and complete. 3 minute walk to Duval Street. Nothing to critique other than a keyless entry directly to the property is more in line with VRBO rentals these days, rather than driving to another location to pick up door keys. Wouldn’t stop us from returning, just a suggestion for the owner to make checkin more convenient for the guests after a long drive.
