“Stayed in Japanese Traditional Room with Private Open Air Bath. The pictures on Expedia are a true representation of the accommodation but the stay was even better than anticipated. Kaiseki meal in private dining room was wonderful and showcased a lot of the local food. The tatami room and sitting area in the room was nice and relaxing and the futons were perfectly set by the time we returned after dinner. The balcony onsen was a lovely warm contrast to the chilly wintry air. The public baths...

“A great place to rest and recharge. It almost feels like you were in a Spirited Away movie. One thing I noted which I hope will be addressed, there is a strong sulfuric smell at level 8 (other levels were okay smell wise), it also does not smell like Sulfur when you open the windows, so the smell is not from outside. Our first night there, I feel like suffocating. Succeeding nights were okay, so unsure what that is.”
