Things to do around Fumba town
You can enjoy the cool vibe in the town complex. The seashore is half a kilometer away, feel free to take a walk, stroll, or hike. There is a good 1.5 km track you can use back and forth parallel to the shoreline.
Turn right after the gate and you can check out the tide coming in or leaving. While it is not ideal for swimming like other beaches, it is wonderful to see the fishermen and local community keeping busy whether it’s fishing, seaweed harvesting and so on.
There are kiosks shops around the area, about 1km in Nyamanzi to get basic supplies. For supermarkets you will have to go closer to Zanzibar city.
While we don’t live in Fumba Town, we are available online and on phone. The housekeeper is also available on phone.
Our apartment is located in Fumba Town, a novel residential development located in the fishing village of Nyamanzi in South West Zanzibar. We are off the tourist path and it is peaceful and surrounded by a largely rural farming and fishing community. The Indian Ocean is 200 metres from the apartment and the sunsets over the water are extravagantly gorgeous.
There's a restaurant that serves delicious and affordable Zanzibari food, a coffee cafe with tasty pastries as well as a medical clinic all within Fumba Town. 2. Do remember not to keep the AC running all night and
3. Switch off the fans and the AC when you leave the house.

Clean water is a scarce and expensive resource on the island. Please use this resource with care and conservation.
