Overall the hotel was good for the money. We found getting into the hotel a bit fiddly since we had a key code and the keypad was electronic so you had to hold your hand over and then start pressing the buttons.
This was also the case for the door for the room which was also all electronic meaning it was fairly noisy when it locked. It also meant you could accidentally leave the lights on when leaving the room since it wasn’t keycard operated. I’d prefer a keycard operated door for the rooms.
There sometimes weren’t any staff on the desk and sometimes the staff didn’t look up as we entered. The luggage storage situation is limited and there isn’t a luggage room, it’s in the entrance and you have to padlock your suitcase on. The luggage spots got filled up by the end of the day. The hotel also don’t offer luggage forwarding.
It was in a good location however with restaurants and convenience stores nearby as well as near Kyoto station.
