“The property is everything and then some. Gorgeous sunset views, ample outdoor space and plenty of places to sit eat or play outdoor games. The house is very well equipped. All of the rooms are very generously sized and having incredible ocean views. Our house could not have been nicer and responded to everything almost immediately. We can’t wait to come back!”

“The house was perfect for our family of eight (including a two year old). Everyone loved the pool, privacy and beautifully landscaped grounds. Being literally three minutes from the beach was such a plus. We walked down every morning and evening for the sunrises/sunsets. I highly recommend this property ! It made our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed Maui!”

“We have stayed at the Papakea many times and overall, found this to be a good unit for families. The layout is spacious and carpets have been replaced with hard surface flooring so it is easy to clean. The ocean and garden views are nice and it is also north facing so does not get very overheated by direct sun. The unit is well equipped with boogie board and beach items. “My daughter, 2 nieces and my sister and I came to Maui to celebrate my sister’s 75th Birthday, which was on 8/8/23. The property that we stayed in was beautiful and perfect for our stay. However, on Tuesday night at 7:30 (8/8/23) we had to evacuate the property because of the fire in Lahiana. “This was our second stay in this unit. The Lanai is the highlight for us - out there most of the morning watching whales, except for our beach path walk (convenient from property). We love walking to Duke's for an occasional meal or to the Fish Market for coconut shrimp. We always do a couple of outings, but we mostly love just hanging out.”

“Great location for our family. You could walk across the street to Napili bay or take 7 minute walk to Kapalua bay. We had 6 adults and everyone was very comfortable. The vrbo was very well equipped for a beach day with beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas. Everything was clean and has great space for our family vacation.”
