“We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the hotel is old-fashioned,in that it's not all stainless steel, glass and fake marble. It's in a historic house, and you really get that feeling, which we enjoyed. Staff were pleasant and efficient. We had a twin room with an uninspiring view of the Reception area's roof, but you can't win 'em all. Everything was clean. “The property was cause to where I needed to be. The room was comfortable, wonderful modern bathroom, with great shower. Staff couldn’t do enough to make my stay excellent. “I stayed at La Fregate over the new year period and was looked after impeccably. The room was beautifully clean and the outlook over Saint Peter Port was stunning. The room service was prompt and all staff members were consistently helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and had me looking forward to breakfast each morning! “We only stayed one night over NYE due to its proximity to the event we were at so we didn’t use the hotel’s facilities. The staff were very friendly at reception and in the restaurant where breakfast was served. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. The hotel room itself was clean and fine for our requirements but it was definitely in need of updating.”

“Location and actual building and facilities very good. Staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast of very good standard. Small items requiring attention specific to Room 15. 1. Mattress worn out and requires renewal. 2. Bathroom door Jamming at top requiring a real effort to get it closed. 3. Whilst the shower is excellent, the on / off control is so tight it cannot be operated with wet / soapy hands. It needs attention. Having said all this, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.”
