La Casita potrebbe essere la mia casa preferita.
1 camera da letto, 1 bagno ... un nascondiglio perfetto. Ti svegli, ti allunghi e guardi fuori dalle finestre per le viste spettacolari di acqua e natura. Su vostra richiesta, saremo lieti di consegnare una colazione continentale alla Casita. Dopo una piacevole mattinata, devi solo provare la doccia esterna con abbastanza spazio per due. Quando ritorni a La Casita, potresti vedere un branco di delfini che giocano vicino al molo.
Mentre la giornata continua, puoi scegliere di andare in barca a St. Catherine's o Ossobaw Island e rilassarsi sulla spiaggia con un pranzo al sacco. A metà pomeriggio, torni a The Casita e ora entra in gioco l'ampia cucina all'aperto. Accendi la griglia e prepari un pasto serale (che in qualche modo ha un sapore migliore di qualsiasi pasto tu abbia mai preparato), oppure puoi scegliere di preparare il tuo pasto per te! E ovviamente c'è sempre la possibilità di cenare fuori in un ristorante di pesce locale.
Questo bellissimo rifugio è vicino alla I-95 ma lontano da tutto. Non preoccuparti di lasciare il tuo animale domestico sono i benvenuti. E non c'è mai un orario di check in o check out.
Porta la tua barca, attraccala, quindi usa la nostra stazione di pulizia del pesce per pulire le tue catture quotidiane! Sono disponibili anche charter di pesca locali.

Cookie and the property are wonderful 10 Stars !!
We absolutely loved the Casita , caught redfish right from the dock. Cookie was so accommodating and the swinging bed is SO relaxing !! I loved the decor and the outdoor kitchen. Can't wait to come back someday. Highly recommend staying here.

Heaven on Earth
These pictures simply do not do this little cottage justice. Everything is meticulous planned out and laid out so well, it really makes use of the space in the best way possible. I'll admit, I had my doubts about the hanging bed, but not only was it incredibly comfortable, the slow, gentle, swaying was incredible. To say nothing of the views. I saw dolphins swim by the dock every single day, at least once a day. It feels like living in a painting. And the host, Cookie, was absolutely incredible to deal with! She was so kind and friendly, and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I possiblely needed throughout my stay. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back for a longer stay. This place is an absolute gem!

Peaceful Easy Feeling!
One of our favorite trips! The accommodations were just lovely. The hostess made sure we had everything we could possibly want and the people we met couldn’t have been nicer! I highly recommend.

Cookie is the best host.
The place was everything described and more. What really made it 5 stars and more was Cookie. She is by far the best host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with on vrbo. Cookie reached out before our trip to speak in person. She gave us all the information about the area, went over different options of things to do in the area. Throughout our stay, she reached out to see if we were ok and if we needed anything. We will definitely be back again. Thank you.

Never wanted to leave
I dont know where to start. It was all just perfect. The outdoor kitchen was amazing. Even when it was raining, we were able to comfortably cook and hang out. There was no need for anything except the food to cook. The home itself was so cozy. I will always be begging for a suspended bed. So wonderful. There are beautiful views no matter which window you look from. Waking up to watch the sunrise without leaving the bed is remarkable. Outdoor showers, night time hot tub relaxing, fishing from the pier.. there were memories made, for sure. Cookie was amazing and offered far more than expected. 11/10 recommend. **I will be back, Cookie**

The Fabulous Casita
The Casita is a fabulous property for 2. Beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need including an outdoor kitchen! The dock is super also. We enjoyed our stay watching the dolphins and fishing all with awesome sunsets! Cookie and her team are simply the very best!! We highly recommend booking The Casita!!

If you are looking to take a break from it all I would highly recommend this spot. Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Be sure to look out for the neighbors…. Dolphins….they will stop by!

Perfect casita
This property is nothing short of magical. We were able to unwind and relax in a very different and special way than we have been able to anywhere else. Cookie has thought of everything. There is nothing that could make this place any better!

Property was clean and nice. Very cozy and accommodations were great. Issues with rentals involved check-in and communication. Was left trying to figure out how check-in worked until after the initial time for check-in. There was an initial issue with reservations as I reserved another property by the property owner. Of no fault of the owner, VRBO double booked the reservation and the owner offered the Santos Salvo property instead.

Kayak and Kitchen!
The info before the trip was great. Directions perfectly fine to get there. Clean and exactly as presented in the listing. Outdoor kitchen extremely well equipped, hot tub worked fine, kayaks we had ordered were on the deck. Gorgeous views over the marshes watching the tide come in and out. Easy day trip to Savannah. Was able to contact manager during our week for some questions. Will come back and rent the house next door for a family gathering! Thanks, folks.

Beautiful Property
My wife and I stayed at Colonel Island’s Casita and absolutely loved it. The cottage was tastefully decorated with care personal attention. It was a perfect place for just her and I. The property is located in the most beautiful surroundings with all the wonder nature has to offer. Pink Spoonbills, Blue Herons, Cranes, Bottlenose Dolphins are constant sights along with some of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen. The outdoor kitchen offers everything one would need to prepare any meals during your stay. There are a multitude of historic and outdoors activities close by as well as being just 30 minutes from all Savannah has to offer. If none of that is your speed, then the property itself is draw enough I assure you. There is a pier and dock on this property where you can launch your kayaks or SUPs for adventures in the wetlands, or just lounge between the patio furniture and hot tub while taking in nature and beverages of your choice. My wife and I did little of it all and look forward to making a trip to Colonel’s Island an annual trip for her and I.

The casita is lovely with amazing views. Very quiet and peaceful area. We had a wonderful weekend. The hostess had personalized touches and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay.

NOT AS ADVERTISED! SPIDER INFESTED!!
I am forced to leave a negative review due to the fact that the house was not as advertised.Our stay was going to be sat-wed &as we were on the way to the house Cookie text me that the gas,outside kitchen&hottub does not work which the hottub was not a big deal to us being i was 7&half months pregnant at the time of our check in but we were still being charged for it. Upon arrival@10:30pm on Sat we entered the house and started to unpack my husband proceeded to bring our stuff in the house,which he had a flashlight in his hand when he came inside and noticed a very LARGE SPIDER&spider web in the corner where the brick wall joins the bedroom.He then started looking around even more&seen 2 more spiders near the ceiling fan and even more spider webs throughout the home at which point we contacted Cookie&ask for her to come take a look at what we had found.She arrived around 11pm and we showed her the pictures we had taken and told her that not knowing whether the spiders were poisonous or not that we did not feel comfortable staying in this house.She then proceeded telling us that she had another house we could look at and possibly stay in if we wanted.So we loaded up everything&went to the other house just down the street,we went inside&there were as many if not more spider webs in that house.We then decided not to stay at either location.At this point Cookie informed us that she would have no control over giving a refund and that we would have to contact VRBO which we said we would do the following day.Now it was around 12midnight&we decided to part ways.We made contact with her the following day to seek out a refund after being informed by VRBO that the refund would have to come from her.She then proceeded to tell us that her houses were not dirty&that they were off the beaten path that we should not have left due to 1 little spider&1 spider web.She then told us that she was going to have an exterminator come out on Mon which she said neither of them seen a spider.Then she said a few messages later that the spider we had seen was not poisonous.Either way we did not feel comfortable staying at either location due to the 3 spiders we had seen and the signs of spiders.So at this point she does not want to give a full refund&tells us that we are just trying to hurt a small business.We have not received an apology or any refund. She has been very difficult to deal with&she has now blocked my #.I hope you have a better experience than we did.

What a wonderful relaxing place
My wife and I stayed for a week while our kids were at summer camp. We had an amazing time. We loved all the decorations. Cookie clearly has a great eye for putting a place together. It was very relaxing. We loved the beautiful sunsets. We rented a kayak and spent about 2 or 3 hours one morning kayaking the river. We saw all kinds of birds, fish, and a few dolphins. It was so fun. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

What a amazing stay we had at the casita! The views were unbelievable and the amenities we fantastic. Cookie is a amazing host and attends to all your needs. Comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated
Such a nice private spot on the river. We were sad the hot tub wasn't working, even though Cookie tried so hard to get it fixed in a timely manner. The outdoor kitchen is so wonderfully equipped and it was a real treat for us Minnesotans to be able to cook outside in the middle of the winter! This would not work well for more than two people, but the adjoining rental (under Colonel's cabins) was gorgeous and had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. If you have a group and want to rent both so you get the huge outdoor kitchen, you will be able to party like a rock star!

Relaxing Getaway
My boyfriend and I spent time in Savannah and then ventured to Midway for a relaxing weekend getaway. The location was beautiful and the setting is incredibly peaceful. We officially want to invest in a swinging bed because it practically rocks you to sleep at night. This is a wonderful spot for relaxing and recharging! Cookie was responsive and helpful with any issues we faced and we would highly recommend this property.

If you’re ever in need of a relaxing getaway with stunning views, peace and nature - This is it! The outdoor kitchen was fun, the hot tub was heavenly, and just a short drive gets you to Savannah or the beach. Highly recommended for a romantic couple’s vacation. The views can’t be beat!!

Amazing!
Thank you so much for an amazing “baby moon” and relaxing vacation. This was exactly what we needed to get ready for our little man to arrive! Mom and Dad (to be) are now well rested! The area is so quiet and secluded. The outdoor kitchen is super cool! We will definitely be back!
