“Absolutely amazing, The room was beautifully renovated the AC was blasting and amazingly cold, bed, pillow and sheets very very clean, room and bathroom very clean, breakfast was amazing biscuits and gravy for breakfast I’ve never seen that before. 10/10 I will be using this hotel again. “The entry door we used from the parking area was broken & thus No night locked door for security. Our room’s floor wasn’t very clean & the couch was broken down I went to 3 ice machines & all were not working & one had mold or something in the drain area. The Breakfast was very good & our waitress was wonderful I wouldn’t stay at this motel again”

“This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio.”

“This place is FOUL! They woke us up at 8 am by installing support beams right outside our window!! That makes sense as to why the guy told me they don’t rent out the upstairs. Probably unsafe! It stinks so bad, Im so glad we had febreeze! I didn’t even want to touch the tv remote so I used a wet wipe. It’s gross!!! Hands down do NOT recommend!”
