“Beautiful home with two gorgeous terraces. The shower is a bit tight but the main bathroom is overall very nice. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it’s not terrible you just need to orient yourself in the area because there is lots of parking a very short walk from the property. Angelo is an amazing host. Live like a local at this villa!”

“My family and extended family, a party of 10, booked Poggio Verde for 4 nights in June. Communication with Gretchen the year leading up to the stay was effective, quick, professional and friendly. “The property was lovely and the are very quiet. It was very difficult to locate and parking was an issue. The hot water in the shower was an issue and not enough kitchen facilities to wash up if you cook.”

“Schönes, stilvolles Haus - aber leider nicht gut erhalten (bspw Toilettenspülung teils defekt, Klopapierhalter fiel ab). Service war, obwohl sehr bemüht und sehr nett, nicht gut - bspw war Frühstück, welches für 8h bestellt war, teils erst 30min später bereit - und wurde mit schlechten Ausreden begründet (bspw „Dienstags ist es schwer, Brot zu kriegen“).”

“Wir hatten ein Familientreffen und haben uns in der wunderschönen Villa mit dem parkähnlichen Garten sehr wohl gefühlt. Die großzügigen und sehr schön renovierten Zimmer haben zudem genug Rückzugsmöglichkeit geboten. Die Gegend ist gut zum Sightseeing, wandern, spazieren geeignet und Annone selbst angenehm weg vom großen Tourismus am Comer See.”

“We had a magical 3 day stay at The Greenhouse Luxury Villa. The property and house exceeded the description and photos. The grounds of the villa were an enchanting place to explore. The Greenhouse had ample room for all 8 guests and the interior decor was as beautiful as it was comfortable. “Brilliant stay, lovely property which was clean and modern. It would have been good to understand the pool would be closed until 1st june in advance. The stairs were also quite steep for elderly relatives. Only small things!”

“My biases are that I love older architecture. I would guess that this villa is well over a 100 years old and they have maintained the character while modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms. The views are beautiful. It did have a few minor issues that I would expect with an older villa which in no way affected our stay”

“We fell in love with the view from the porch, and envisioned having our morning coffee sitting there watching the boats go by. Unfortunately, there was no coffee maker of any sort. Due to a knee injury, my husband needs to sleep with a pillow under his knee, but there were no spare pillows( just one allowed per person - we were told that that was the Italian way). “Siamo stati veramente bene nella casa dei signori Domenico e Marinette, persone veramente gentili, cordiali è molto attenti ai nostri bisogni. La casa è perfetta con un bellissimo giardino con barbecue. La zona di Porto Ceresio, anche se fuori stagione, è veramente piacevole è molto bella. C’è una splendida passeggiata lungo il lago di Lugano che ti fa rilassare e godere di viste bellissime. Consigliamo vivamente la casa di Domenico e Marinette è un soggiorno a Porto Ceresio.”

“Paolo was a fantastic host - very kind, helpful and considerate during our days in isolation. The villa was spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning and everything we needed. Paolo understood and spoke English well and really looked after us during our stay.”
