“Breakfast is good ”

“What a wonderful experience staying at the Borland House is! With the quaint, homey feeling of the whole house, to the kindness of the staff. Your stay will absolutely be lovely. Ample towels are provided for the private, spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bedding and well appointed decorations are in the bedroom. I was in the Hummingbird Suite. I could see myself living there, it just had everything I needed. I look forward to visiting again in the future!”

“Some rooms have roaches... not mine luckily but friends have stayed there and i saw with my own eyes”

“The first floor doesn’t let you enjoy the view unless you like being exposed to the parking lot. The doors slam very hard when they close on the rooms so you hear loud slams all night. And the gym was being renovated so there was some other noises during the day.”

“Right off the highway. Good value. Breaksfast is bready, carb bomb type offerings- no eggs or hard boiled eggs. But I would still stay there again. The coffee in the morning is very good though. Clean hotel. Good launching point for the New Paltz area which is a five minute or less drive to the restaurants and downtown area. 20 minutes to Lake Minnewaska and the hiking areas there.”

“The breakfast was amazing and staff friendly. However this hotel is under construction and paint fumes in the halls. Thankfully not in the room. The dust from the construction was in the rooms. Vacuuming the carpet would’ve been a good idea. After construction I’m sure this hotel would merit 5 stars.”

“Staff is very friendly. Rooms were clean. Nice area with many places nearby to eat.”

“Everything was great — really enjoyed the stay. The only small thing to improve: if you’re offering complimentary coffee, please make it real coffee, not just hot water with a bit of flavor 🙂”

“Hotel is clean, perfect location, it is close the restaurant and stores and minutes away from the mall. Rooms are very spacious perfect for family. I would stay at this hotel again.”

“The room was cleanish. There was what I assume is soap residue on the shower curtain, a few stray hairs in the shower and I did not step on the floor barefoot. It was clean enough for what we needed but I would not book more than a few nights. There is only a mini fridge in the room and microwave in the lobby. Water pressure was good and hot. Overall cleanliness was disappointing but for the price I didn’t expect much better. The staff that I interacted with was kind. ”
