…..a family home for families….
Rose and Rosemary is a part of a carefully restored farmhouse of 170 square meters set in the beautiful and scented Tuscan countryside. It is completely independent, accommodating up to 6 people, and is surrounded by an equipped and terraced garden, always in flower, which will allow you to enjoy the singing of birds under a beautiful pergola of grape or to cool off in the lovely swimming pool surrounded by olive trees, in a position overlooking the valley. The house is on two levels: on the ground floor there is a romantic country kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook excellent meals, an elegant dining room with a beautiful tiled stove, a relaxing area with sofas, armchairs and a large television, and finally a small bathroom. On the first floor, accessible through an ancient and original stone staircase, there are 3 romantic bedrooms each one with its own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are double and one has two single beds. The bathroom of one of the double bedrooms is on a lovely attic which is accessible through a wooden staircase. The house has a wonderful portico with a view of unspoiled nature, where in the evening it is not unusual to spot foxes, roe deer, owls and many other animals typical of the area. The portico is furnished with a dining table and armchairs. There is also a large illuminated car park within the grounds.
Montopoli is an ancient village in Tuscany which preserves many medieval buildings. Montopoli in Valdarno and its castle, which Boccaccio himself described as "illustrious", was first mentioned in 1017, but recent excavations have revealed that it was previously inhabited by the Etruscans and Romans. Walking along the town street it is possible to see Castruccio's Tower and Arch and, in front of the town hall, the beautiful Belvedere terrace from where it is possible to enjoy a marvellous view of the still intact tower of San Matteo. There is a civic museum where Etruscan and medieval artefacts are on exposure, as well as an important section dedicated to ceramics, especially to the renowned terracotta pieces of Montopoli, which have been exported all over the world. In the village, there are also many religious buildings, some of which are adorned with important paintings.
